For all members with artistic talents; in a couple of days we will be unleashing the first of a series of contest to test your abilities! Starting on October 11th we will be releasing BNT's first art contest! The rules, procedure and rewards will all be covered below!
Art Contest Procedure:
At the beginning of each month, the month's art contest topic will be posted. Each contest will have a theme and a designated artistic media (Sketch, Digital, Text, Graphic, etc) that will be accepted. Once the topic is posted we will begin taking submissions.
All submissions can be pmed to myself up until the deadline. Really, I expect links to the sites in which you upload the works. The sites I would prefer to see are Photobucket and Deviant Art because a lot of other sites tend to spam advertisements. I will NOT deny any submissions, but if they do not meet the theme or art medium requirements they will be graded as such.
A deadline will be posted saying when all works should be submitted by. Usually the contests will last a single month, but there is the possibility that it may be extended. The week following the deadline will be devoted to judges grading the works.
The grading process will work as is about to be described. I, personally, will take all the submitted works and upload them to a Photobucket account devoted to these competitions. From there I will post every work randomly into a thread with a number for each. At the same time we will be accepting Judge applications for that month's contest. Judges will be chosen by the admin based on various character traits.
The judges will look at each artwork and submit a grade from 1 - 10 for each of four categories. Judges should pm their grades to all the staff. I will add up the scores for each and every piece from the judges. The artwork with the highest score, once judging is over, will be the winner of the contest.

Bonuses Theme: Holiday
Art Medium: Any; If you consider it artwork and you can fit it to meet the theme, then it's allowed. If you are unsure, just pm me.
Maximum # of Submissions: None
Rewards: For this, the first contest, we are just giving out rep and some kind of decoration that you can put in your user profile to show that you won this month's contest
Deadline: January 2, 2011
Rules:
- All submissions must meet the criteria above. Those that fail to do so will be graded accordingly.
- All submissions must be pmed to Kyouzou.
- All submissions must be your own work. Renders are an exception.
- Please Keep all works smaller than 600 x 600. If you are unable to, please contact me prior to submission.
- No bribing the judges.
- Anyone saying what number their submission is or what number other people's submissions are, will be disqualified from this and any other art contest. If your artwork has some sort of insignia commonly found on artwork you produce, please try to cover it up.
- Please keep this thread clear of unnecessary post.
- Please do not make fun of or insult the works of others
