How exactly would I go about using Sojiro Kusaka?
Would he be a rogue that hates Soul Society like he was in the movie?
Or would I RP him as a normal shinigami who has since gone good after the events?

I'm not sure what I would do cause he died but then yea.

Also, would it be acceptable to remove his scar?
I don't like it, and it was mostly a symbol of his first death when he fought with Hitsugaya, so since he passed peacefully after the events of DiamongDust Rebellion, yea.

Also, would his personality be maintained from DiamondDust Rebellion? No, right?
He was originally a very upright kind of guy but his fight with Hitsugaya made him emo.
I suppose it'll depend on whether he's still rogue or whether I get to use him as a regular Shinigami though, which I'm not sure on.

For characters that have died (including their 'soul' death) this can be problematic, so much is left to the user - however it is important to retain the essence of the character as much as possible.

If before first 'soul death': (unlikely)
The scar may be gone - but Soul Society's position on him would be unchanged since - to soul society he is an abomination - something that must be destroyed.

If between first and second 'soul death': (quite possible - check Toshiro's character application to see what he wrote)
For Kusaka Sojiro his antagonism towards Toshiro is something that was established after his first 'soul' death and finished with his second ; however that does not mean that he would have forgiven soul society - from all evidence he would still be violently opposed to most of them.

After his second 'Soul death': (quite possible)
Even after his second soul death he would likely retain much of his personality (which would soften slightly towards some people such as Toshiro and perhaps Toshiro's friends in the tenth and Hinamori Momo as Toshiro's close friend); however for the rest - particularly the Captain-Commander and Central 46... he would loathe them for their crimes by all accounts.

You're right, most of his personality prior to second death would most likely stay the same, just the thing he had with Hitsugaya was settled.
