Recruitment Contest
Ends: March 3rd
Tally: March 6th
Description:
It would seem.. as if the site is dying. After all we’ve done so far to try to attract more members, it seems that even our most devoted members are frequenting the site less. I’m sure no one wants the site to continue being so empty (not Empty). The staff alone cannot perform the work needed to get the site buzzing. That is why we would like to request the help of our active members.
For the second time in the site’s history we will be having an advertisement contest. Though unlike the last contest, this one will include various ways to take part in the contest. That is why it is called a Recruitment Contest now. Basically the goal in this contest will be to take part in recruitment related activities. Depending on the activity, points will be rewarded. Those with the highest points will place in this contest.
Rules:
- No Cheating
- No lying
- I want everyone to have only one post dedicated to showing proof of their accomplishments towards the contest. Just edit the first post whenever you advertise and such.
- Do not spam sites, or force us to have to listen to other sites’ staff because you do something, well, stupid.
- If you are unsure of something, please PM one of the staff here.
- We uphold the right to remove awards if foulplay was discovered.
Ways to Get Points:
One Point:
- Bring up a suggestion/idea that we use in improving the site for new members. Please do not come to us with a suggestion that is, well, stupid. Obviously, only the first person suggesting an idea will be rewarded. You must post here linking to where your suggestion was suggested and then used.
- Recruit a Member. The recruited person must PM me saying that you were the one that recruited them. We can tell if someone has two accounts, so do not try cheating here. Points are lost if the member disappears before the points are tallied. Staff vote will decide if the recruited member was on enough to count as not disappearing.
- Start a interactive thread
- Plus another point if it's an encounters thread. Aka, characters meeting for the first time and getting to know each other.
- Be in an interactive thread that is completed (Must at least extend to the second page to count).
Two Points:
- Advertisement on Forums. Advertise on another RP Forum. You must post the advertisement on their site with the username you use here. You also must link us to the post so we have proof that you did it. Please make sure we do not already have an advertisement on the site.
- Advertisement on Directory. Advertise on a site similar to RPG Directory, that is, a site that allows for numerous sites to advertise.
- Advertisement on Site. Advertise on a site in which we do not have an advertisement on.
Three Points:
- Recruited Member Character. A member you recruit creates a character and it is accepted. You only get points for the first character. Points are lost if the member disappears before points are tallied.Staff vote will decide if the recruited member was on enough to count as not disappearing.
Deadline:
This contest will end on March 3rd, 2011. Between that date and the Tally date, March 6thth, 2011, the only remaining ways to get points is if a recruited member makes a character and it is approved.
Rewards:
- First – First Place will receive 25 Karma, Get a title, Get to choose the theme of the next Art Contest and I will create an artwork for you when I get the chance.
- Second – Second Place will receive 15 Karma, Get a lousier title and get to choose the bonus theme of the next Art Contest.
- Third – Third Place will receive 5 Karma, and an even lousier title.
