Often known for being a rather tall and skinny person, Ichigo is best known for his blazing orange coloured hair, which has been the cause for numerous fights in his adolescent and teenage years. Due to the regular fighting, his thin frame is well muscled, with his height drawing the muscles to not look over bearing. Whilst best known for having a frown on his face, many have said that his light brown eyes help to show what he is truly feeling behind it.
While at school, he typically wears the standard uniform; a white shirt, grey trousers, grey blazer, but never wears the school tie, or keeps his appearance "neat", leaving his shirt un-tucked, and top buttons open. When fighting hollows, and in his Shingami appearance, he wears the standard uniform of a black Shihakusho, with a red rosary-like strap to hold his large, released, Zanpukto. Outside of these duties, he normally wears skin tight clothing, often pale blue jeans and various t-shirts.

Typically viewed as a rather troublesome young man, Ichigo has very rarely every got in to a fight by throwing the first punch, this is largely due to his hair colour being highly unusual for those in Japan. Whilst maintaining a scowl on his face near constantly, he very rarely is annoyed at someone or something, but views it as a means to steer off unwanted people from giving him any hassle, where his eyes grant a select few to see what he truly feels underneath it.
Due to many different factors, such as his tendency to be "picked on", being stand-offish, and recent lack of school attendance, few ever become his friends, but those that he does grant the gift of friendship of, have it for a life time. Likewise, for those whom he deems irredeemable and a foe, he will treat with a solid determined mind-set to beat them at what is happening, doing anything in his power for himself and his friends alike to keep them safe from harm. However, after a fight, unless they try once more to go after him or his, he will write them off, leaving a fresh place for them should they wish to make amends. Unlike other Shingami, or Vizards, he holds no grudges against a single race, other than hollows, for whatever they have done in the past, evidence in fact by his friendliness with a Quincy.
In battle, Ichigo is a fierce and determined fighter, the source of his strength coming from his "will to win", represented by a slight blue sheen to his eyes from his reiatsu. An unfortunate downside, however, is he often taunts and belittles his opponents in combat, seeking to get under their skin, this is a double edged sword, as by making them enraged he can seek out openings, but vice-versa, they can attack him mid-taunt. Another trait of his in combat, is his strict and unique sense of honour; where he would seek revenge for his comrades, and even going so far as to refuse aid from others to help win.
When he relaxes, which he rarely has a chance to, he enjoys reading William Shakespeare's work, and listening to punk music mostly.

Born on the 15th of July, to Isshin and Masaki Kurosaki, Ichigo was the first of their three children, followed a few years later by his twin sisters, Yuzu and Karin. At the age of four, he joined a Karate Dojo, where he met, and was beaten countless times, by new found friend Tatsuki Arisawa, who would often comfort him after fending off any bullies he may have.
Able to see souls (Pluses) from as far back as he can remember, he used to have extreme troubles differentiating them between the living, so it would appear that he was speaking to himself on numerous occasions, but rumours spread of him being able to see ghosts, but even when confronted by his friend, he denied such a thing.
At the age of nine, on July 17th, on their way home from the dojo, Ichigo and his mother passed by the over flowed river, Ichigo saw a young girl who appeared ready to jump in to the water, not knowing that she was a soul, he ran off to get her away from the edge of the river. Followed closely by his calling mother, Ichigo had his first every encounter with a hollow on that fateful day, where his mother was killed by the river; waking to find her laying atop of him, covered in blood. Starting from that day, he began to skip school, wandering the banks of the river endlessly, searching for his mother. It wasn't until his father and sisters showed up after nearly a month of this, that he finally stopped.
Prior to the Kurosaki Clinic opening, at around the age of twelve, Ichigo answered the door to a girl with her brother draped over her back, unable to help him due to the clinics lack of equipment needed for the injuries, they set him to be transferred to the Karakura hospital, but he died before the ambulance could arrive.
Upon entering in to Mashiba Junior High, Ichigo had finally beaten Tatsuki in a karate match, had not fought with her since. It was also here when he began to get in to repeated fights with thugs, because of his unusual hair colour. Coincidently, during one of these fights, he protected Sado Yasutora (Chad), and later again helped to free the young man when he was abducted by the same group. Only this time, he used one of the thug¡¯s phones to call for an ambulance for each of them, dealing with them, and helping to free Chad, by himself.
In the intervening years of him finishing Junior High and entering in to Karakura High, he met and befriended Keigo Asano and Mizuiro Kojima, protecting Keigo from a gang of thugs in the process. Despite their reputations arriving before them, the group became good friends.
Years pass before he has a run in with Shingami, Rukia Kuchiki, who had stumbled in to his room, speaking about a hollow presence nearby. Mistaking her for a would-be burglar, he attacks her, after a short confrontation, ending with Ichigo bound by Kido, he received a rather (gruesome) crash course in Soul Society, Shingami, and Hollows.
It was minutes later when loud noises erupted from downstairs, and a scream ripped the air before Rukia left to find out what was happening, leaving Ichigo bound, when Karin crawled to a stop by his door, checking to make sure he was ok, before passing out. Incensed that something was happening, Ichigo fought against the binding, despite protests from the petite Shingami, and broke free.
Rushing to the fight, where his other sister, Yuzu, was being held by a hollow, his father beaten aside, Ichigo attempted to fight the beast, only to be swatted aside, and then saved by Rukia, while she sustained a lethal blow in the process. With all hope looking gone, Rukia offered him a chance to protect his family, offering to make him become a Shingami with her own powers.
After easily dispatching of the hollow with his new powers, Ichigo awoke the next morning seeing his family fine and healthy, and himself in his normal body, the damage to their house was written off as a freak accident by a truck driver, and that was it. Pushing it to the back of his mind, he hoped it was a onetime thing¡.
The following days and weeks proved that was a false hope, with Rukia having entered class with him, and guiding him on his new found path of being a Shingami, aiding where she could in battle, and informing him more on how the "grand scheme of things" worked, such as the balance of souls. It is also during his adventures when he finds out more in regards to some of his friends, including Chad and Orihime (the little girl from the clinic). Rukia also introduced him to the concept of Mod Souls, small pills which can take over a body while the Shingami runs around doing their business. This led to a series of small disasters, as Kon, the pill, had been overly shameful in class, the went on to fight a hollow.
Days later, as the 16th of July appears, Ichigo arrives to school portraying an overly friendly face to everyone, and takes the following day off of school to visit his mother's grave with his family. Whilst on this trip, with Rukia and Kon shadowing them the whole way, Ichigo has a confrontation with the Hollow that killed his mother.
Fighting Grand Fisher, who tries to manipulate Ichigo with the ghostly form of his mother, Ichigo persists in fighting, forcing the monster to finally leave, after having sustained multiple injuries each.
In the following weeks, he was confronted by "The Last Quincy", Ishida Uryu, who challenged Ichigo to a contest of who can slay the most hollows. Resulting in a Menos Grande being summoned forth. After an attempt to combine Ichigo's absurd powers with Ishida's Quincy powers, Ichigo was able to repel the Menos with a single strike, an absurd feat for one so young in their Shingami lifespan.
A week or so later, Ichigo discovered that Rukia had fled, and ignoring her message to not look for her, he was confronted by Abarai Renji, Vice-Captain of the 6th Squad. In a bizarrely one sided fight, Ichigo managed to leverage the upper hand after sustaining two heavy wounds. After rapidly turning the tables, and preparing to deal the last blow to the Vice-Captain, he was stopped by the Captain of that same division, Byakura Kuchiki.
After having his "inflated" sword broken clean in two, Byakura finished Ichigo with two precise strikes, aimed to seal away any power he may have had left. Leaving him to die, Byakura and Renji escorted Rukia back to Soul Society.
Accepting a chance to regain his powers, and to save Rukia from a fate of death, Ichigo underwent training with Urahara Kisuke to awaken his own dormant powers. The training was intense, pitting Ichigo in full on battle for days, and coming close to becoming a Hollow himself when he was nearly out of time to retrieve his powers.
With his newly awakened powers, and unleashed Shikai blade, Zangetsu, Ichigo and his friends, Chad, Orihime, Ishida, and the cat Yoruichi, they headed in to Soul Society to rescue Rukia.
At first, upon arrival, Ichigo sought to straight forward enter the Seireitei by means of the Four Gates. This was impeded by the appearance of the West Gate Guardian; Jidanbo Ikkanzaka. A brief fight later, with Ichigo displaying his new sense of power, was able to easily best the guard, and earn entrance. However, their entrance was further impeded by the form of Gin Ichimaru, who severed Jidanbo's arm, and forced them to seek other methods in.
Gaining the aid of the Shiba clan, the group managed to break though the field around the Seireitei, where they were forcefully split apart. Landing with Ganju, he and Ichigo where confronted by a pair from the 11th Division, Ikkaku Madarame and Yumichicka Ayasegawa. Splitting up for their fight, Ichigo fought Madarame, whom, after defeating him, told him to be wary of their Captain, who would seek him out for a fight.
After re-grouping with Ganju, and their mistake of attempting to hold Hanataro Yamada hostage, he once again comes face to face against Renji, beating him this time by a close count, unleashing a powerful blast a point blank range. It is also during this fight when his hollow mask appears on his body, protecting him from a normally fatal blow delivered by Renji.
Once fully healed, the trio set off once more towards where Rukia was being held prisoner, only to be stopped once more, only this time it was in the form of Captain Zarakai Kenpachi. Wanting to only fight with Ichigo, he let the other two pass on to Rukia.
Their fight was bloody and hectic, with Ichigo becoming closer to Zangetsu, and meeting his inner hollow for the first time. Combining powers with his Zanpakuto, Ichigo was able to best Kenpachi in final blows, being mortally wounded again, and once more saved by his mask.
Under the tender mercies of Yoruichi, whom showed herself to be a female woman instead of a male cat, she offered Ichigo the chance to train to become stronger before making a final attempt to rescue Rukia on the day of her execution, this however was put on hold. The arrival of Byakura, whose power even Ichigo was able to sense, led to him trying to attack the captain.
Saved by Yoruichi, with the promise of Ichigo being ready to fight him in three days, she took the young Shingami to the secret training hideout of Urahara's, where he devised a way to attain Bankai in that time frame.
Joined by a healed Renji during those three days, Ichigo kept a heavy pace of training for nearly 14 hours a day, breaking only to rest and heal in the provided hot spring in the cave, which healed all wounds. It was also here that Yoruichi teased him mercilessly about his shyness.
Besting his Zanpakuto in combat, and attaining the power of Bankai near the end of the time limit, he set forth to rescue Rukia at the Sokyoku hill, arriving just in time to prevent the powerful spear from piercing in to Rukia's bound form.
With the aid of two captains, Shunsui Kyoraku and Jushiro Ukitake who bound the spear, Ichigo was able to free Rukia, destroying the cross she was held on in the process.
In the ensuing rush of people coming and going, Ichigo took out three lieutenants who used their Shikai's bare handed, going so far as to completely smash his fist though one.
Once more fighting with Byakura, whom he taunts in to using his Bankai after performing his first, intentional, and fully powered, Getsuga Tensho, he in turn activates his own Bankai, despite having wanted to beat Byakura with just his Shikai. In his newly powered form, he gains the upper hand swiftly in the fight, to the point where he was able to get beyond Byakura's Senbonzakura's petal blades.
Near the culmination of their fight, Ichigo was taking over by his hollow for the first time, and with it, managed to gain another upper hand on Byakura, after having begun to start losing from his lack of skill with his Bankai. After subduing the creature, he and Byakura had one last exchange of power.
Appearing victorious from the fight to his friends, whom had all arrived by this point in an attempt to aid him, Orihime began to heal him from his injuries as Byakura fled the scene. Minutes later, the scene was full with fellow Shingami whom they had either already bested, or not yet met, all with the supposedly dead Sosuke Aizen.
After Aizen goes to attack a returned Rukia, Ichigo goes to intervene, only to be surprised that, whilst still in his Bankai form, his blade was stopped with a finger, and he was nearly sliced in half. Barely able to remain conscious, he learned, along with the others, of the would-be-dead captain. With learning of the Hogyoku, which was hidden inside of Rukia's form by Urahara, the ex-captain removed it nearly killed the small Shingami.
After watching as the other captains try to stop Aizen, Ichigo and others where healed by Orihime and 4th Division Captain Retsu Unohana, the group of intruders are pardoned, and Rukia is freed by the command of the Captain-Commander Yammamoto. Prior to leaving to the human world once more, Ichigo is gifted a badge from Captain Ukitake, which acts as a means of identifying himself, and also an emergency release for his soul.
When the group arrives back in the world of the living, they are met by Urahara and his group, who offers his deepest apologise to them all before dropping them all off safely at their respective homes.
With but a handful of days of rest, the group return to school, to many questions in regards to their changed appearances, and why some of them are still bandaged up. Waving these concerns off, they are introduced to a new transfer student, who goes by the name of Shinji Hirako.
Once class lets out for the day, Ichigo goes to intercept a hollow, only to once again meet up with Shinji, who tries to recruit him in to a group known as the Visored, people "like him". Not knowing, or not willing to acknowledge what he is on about, Shinji displays his mask to Ichigo.
Their talk is cut short as Ichigo refuses to listen to Shinji's warnings, and leaves.
Days later, with the appearance of two warriors dressed in white, Ichigo is forced to intervene or risk losing his friends Chad, Orihime, and Tatsuki, who were attacked by the duo. Revealing themselves to be Arrancars, led by Aizen, the larger of the two, Yammy, attacks, after seeing what has happened to Chad, who's right arm is torn to shreds, Ichigo returns the favour by slicing off Yammy's right arm.
However, before being able to fight further, he is possessed once more by his inner hollow, and with the arrival of Urahara and Yoruichi, it forces the duo to retreat.
Losing his self confidence in his powers to protect his friends, Ichigo falls in to a depression, pulled from it only by the appearance of Rukia and a team led by Toshiro Hitsugaya, Captain of the 10th Division. With her help, Ichigo regains his confidence, apologizing with heart to his friends for being unable to help them, and determined to become stronger for it.
Learning of Soul Societies plans for the up-coming war, Ichigo allows Rukia to stay in his house, but forces the others to seek ulterior accommodations.
That same night, a group of Arrancar attack, targeting anyone with any type of power. Finding out that one has headed towards where Chad is, Ichigo takes off to intervene, despite his injuries not having healed fully.
Telling his once comrade to step aside, Ichigo is then interrupted before he can fight by Rukia making him step aside for the fight, where he learns that her powers have returned her, and what her Zanpakuto can do. After killing off the Arrancar, Di Roy, they are introduced to Grimmjow, who introduces himself as the 6th Espada.
Before Rukia has a chance to process this fully, she is impaled by Grimmjow, making Ichigo charge to attack him.
Failing to even scratch the Arrancar with Zangetsu, Ichigo unleashes his Bankai, but during the fight, his hollow begins to slowly take control, forcing him to start losing the fight which he was barely holding on to. Before Grimmjow can attack further, he is stopped by the appearance of Tousen, one of the traitors of Soul Society, who orders him to return.
With barely winning the fight, Ichigo decides to take the Visored up on their offer of training...

Inner Hollow:
As expected of a hollow, he is a being of pure instinct, but due to his combined nature with a Zanpakuto, he is more blood thirsty and power hungry than typically known for a hollow. With the added disposition of the kids rhyme of a ¡°King and his Horse¡±, he sees himself as being the rightful ruler of Ichigo¡¯s body, seeking to take it over numerous times.
Zanpakuto Name: Zangetsu (Slaying Moon)
Zanpakuto Spirit:
A stark contrast to the hot headed temper of Ichigo, Zangetsu is a level-headed and calm being, acting many times as a mentor to Ichigo, and giving him tasks to complete to help make him become stronger and better.

Shikai Release Command: "Zangetsu!!"
Shikai Appearance:
Shikai Type:Melee
Shikai Abilities:
- Getsuga Tensho (Moon Fang Heaven-Piercer) - A heavily condensed blade of blue energy that is released at the apex of a swing of the sword, Zangetsu absorbs and amplifies the power that Ichigo pushes in to the blade. A versatile move, the Getsuga Tensho can be used in many different forms, to attack on whole, or to simple cause destruction. The limits of this attack are based purely on how much power is put forward to in to the swing, known to take out beings who are weaker than him in single blows, and those far stronger to merely flick it away. Ichigo has also demonstrated the skill to hold the blast in the sword, enhancing the power of his blows exponentially.
Bankai Name: Tensa Zangetsu
Bankai Release Command: Bankai
Bankai Appearance:
Bankai Type:Melee
Bankai Abilities:
- Enhanced Getsuga Tensho - An enhanced and more destructive and directional blast than its predecessor, this Getsuga, now bathed in black and red highlights, is able to change directions whilst in movement, and can also be stored up inside of the sword to help enhance blows immensely.
- Heightened Speed - Due to the compression of his spiritual power, Ichigo gains a tremendous boost to his physical speed, granting him movement in higher realms of Shunpo than are normally possible.
- Enhanced Strength - Another bonus of his compressed power, is that Ichigo is able to strike harder than previously.
- Enhanced Spiritual Power - Due to the compressed form of his sword, Ichigo's once wild power is now focused down in to himself, while still uncontrollable, it is now more honed. This grants him greater power, and also a longer duration for his Bankai.

It was quite in the lower districts of Karakura, homeless people staring vacantly at the streets, at burning trashcans, huddled inside of their makeshift homes. Stray cats and dogs scuttling about, leaving the other alone. Twisted, was a sharp point that leapt in to the orange haired youths mind at the sight of them all.
Sure, he had grown up mostly in the more populated central areas, but even he hadn't thought things like this happened in the town.
Stepping away from the train tracks, he tried once more to open his senses, to try and feel that permeation in the air beyond the maelstrom that was his own powers. It was faint, trying to find it though his minds eye, but he felt it, further out, in the truly abandoned warehouses further on.
As he took sure strides, his soft trainers pressing against the concrete, the dark purple light jacket rustling as the air behind him was suddenly torn by a train rocketing past, its freight jiggling softly on the tracks.
People finally looked up then, at the sight of the train and the lone figure walking away from it, with barely a flinch in his movements as the train roared past. Some liked the looks of him, the dangling chain on his waist, and his fresh clothes, many thought he would have plenty of money, a sure chance to get some actual food!
Moving towards him, it was as they got closer that they felt something wrong, staring at them with deep, light brown eyes, the young man stood in place, his body reeking with power.
They moved aside swiftly, his eyes staring in to the distance as he began moving once more. Navigating the streets, he forced his mind in to focus, ignoring the sweet lies that slipped to his conscious from his inner world.
The prospect of power, of his enemies lying dead at his feet, his friends never being harmed.
All of them where bitter sweet lies whispered to him from the demon within. He knew what it wanted, it wanted his body, his soul, and to reign destruction on all!
Heaving a shaky breath, he longed to hear the words of his sword, which even now, in his human form, he could still feel resting at his back, the long cleaver like blade would always be with him, inside of him, and forever ready for battle.
'Zangetsu... If you can hear me¡ Help me find the power to beat this..'
Crossing a street that was empty, and slowly becoming less filled with homeless, he heard nothing in reply to his plea, only the twisted laughter that echoed in his mind. Fighting down the shudder that spread though his bones, he took a left, following the presence he felt beyond his own. Soon, he would have answers, and hopefully, be able to once more hear the Old Man's words.
