Since becoming a shinigami training had become a way of life for Jinsei Itazuki. During his years at the academy he had been dedicated to making his body into a weapon. Following his own philosophy, he believed that his body would be the only weapon he needed. He was often seen to be hollow-like by his peers, for his direct demonic like approach to battle. Relying solely on his own capabilities, while casually discarding his weapon. As such he lacked some skills with his Zanpaktou, and that was perhaps the reason why he had yet to obtain shikai like most of his comrades. This bothered Jin in no way at all. But to abide by his sense of power he had to subject himself to frequent intense training. As such Jinsei dedicated almost every hour of his day to various training exercises. All of which included physical exercises and reiatsu exercises. Sometimes he worked on kidou, but overall he worked to develop his own techniques to enhance his own physique. This also included his Hakuda, which unlike the stealthy type used in the Onmitsukido, his consisted of bone breaking, more direct tactics. As such the techniques he wished to create were created to increase the efficiency of his Hakuda, so that he will be able to fight effectively against almost any opponent.
For today Jinsei wanted to focus on developing a few techniques. However to do so he would require more training in reiatsu control. So as he walked out of Nibantai's barracks the shinigami made his way to Sokyoku Hill. During his travel he noticed how calm and still Seireitei was during the time of dusk. It was eerie and peaceful. None of the hustle and bustle of the day were afflicted upon the land at this time. It was moments like these that made Jinsei glad to suffer from insomnia. Even in his human life he had used the affliction to his advantage. Whether it was to finish up some creation he was working on, or to put in more training hours, or even get the scoop on the bounties he hunted. Coincidentally those old habits followed him into the afterlife. Although reconstruction of the monumental site had been executed years ago. The land itself still contained the memories of the battles that transpired here. Looking around Jin searched for a place where he could work properly. And what better place would there be other than the edge of the hill that resembled something more close to a cliff.

The location couldn't have been more perfect. As Jinsei approached he was provided a clear view of the vast forest that Sokyoku towered over. It was a magnificent sight that would have to be ignored for the time being. For now he had to focus on his training. Slowly he unfastened the threads that held his Zanpaktou to his back, placing the entire thing sheath and all onto the ground. Then he to lowered himself to the ground, taking a crossed legged meditative stance. To begin he would slowly vent a small portion of his reiatsu allowing it to seep into the atmosphere. Steadily he would increase the amount of reiatsu until he had the amount he required. Once he achieved this, Jin would exercise his control over his reiatsu. Increasing and decreasing the output to match his breathing. He would continue this repeatedly until he was able to connect with his reiatsu in this manner with little to no effort. ”Now this really has become as easy as breathing”, Jin would say as he felt warmth embrace his body indicating the rising of the sun. This was a good sign, he was able to accomplish gaining a little bit more control over his reiatsu. But it wasn't enough. Yeah it was a good improvement. But in order to be able to rely solely on himself he needed to be able to control this extension of his being just as easily as he controlled his body.
The next step towards his goal to achieve a mastered control over his reiatsu, would be for Jin to attain a feel for the flow of his reiatsu. In doing so he hoped that he could advance once step further to gaining more control. Relaxing even more, he quickly picked up on the flow of his reiatsu all that was left was to interpret it. It wasn't until after a few hours or so did Jinsei drifted into a deep state of meditation, slipping into the furthermost parts of his subconscious. It led him to a place that he was far from familiar with. Though despite this being his first time here, he felt as if he knew the strange land. Looking around he saw the he was surrounded by a thick growth of varying tree species along with numerous families of vegetation. What stood out most was the darkness that would have consumed the beautiful site, if not for the luminous rays of the moon. Which stood out the most due to it's odd shade of blue. A shade that resembled his sapphire colored irises. ” Magnificent.” The single one word description was all he could muster in regards to the place he had stumbled upon.

The years he had spent living as an Onmitsukido member really had an effect on Jinsei. As opposed to a normal person who would search for any signs of life other than the surrounding trees, Jin preferred to dwell within the shadows of the strange terrain, studying it from a watchful eye. Though due to the silence, he felt no reason not to continue walking casually as if the land was familiar. Oddly enough it felt as though the direction in which he was walking felt like it was the right way. But towards what? He didn't know the place so he had no clue as to where he was headed. From the sound of it though it seemed as if he was growing closer to a body of water. As Jinsei looked up into the sky he also noticed that the moon grew faintly closer as he moved out of the forest, transitioning onto a white shore. If the moon overlooking the forest wasn't a beautiful site, then the contrast it created when it's luminous shine was reflected off of the ocean below was breath-taking. Not to mention the soothing scent of salted ocean air. It wasn't until actually stepping onto the shore did Jinsei notice a shadowy figure. Some few meters away standing at the edge of the forest, where the growth met the sands of the shore.
It was during this recognition of the other's presence did it begin to rain. It was a massive downpour that initiated in such an instant that Jin thought he was going to be soaked. But evidently he remained dry despite the rain's continuous fall. With that the shadowy figure emerged from the shade of the forest and stepped onto the shored, becoming completely immersed in the luminous rays. Allowing Jinsei to see that the figure was a female donned in a black Duster, along with black jeans and matching boots. It wasn't long before the two were standing before one another, studying each other's appearance. The girl taking the initiative would say ”Hello Jin-kun”, while greeting Jinsei with a warm smile that contradicted her emo-like appearance. ”I am glad to finally meet you. I know you will have questions, but before you ask, there are somethings I must share with you. But first we should go somewhere to sit and chat”.

Without even the slightest resistance or comment Jinsei followed the young woman back into the green of the forest. The walk through the forest and into the village was rather dull and quiet. Despite this her company felt familiar, like they had always known each other. She led him into a small building the housed a small table with two chairs, which were filled be the two. The dimly lit room only proved that each of them needed a serious change of attire. Now that he was properly situated in the seat, Jin removed his hood allowing his silver hair to resume it's messy fashion, an action which brought delight to the girl's face. Without realizing what he was saying Jinsei abruptly blurted out ”What's so funny?” Although the voice he spoke made his question obviously rhetorical, the young lady chose to respond. ”Nothing really. It's just that I get the feeling you have no clue as to why you are here. Am I correct?” Her voice remained in the same light tone she had spoken in before. Though the look she gave Jinsei while speaking reflected traits of boredom. Eager to get answers Jin let out an unenthusiastic ”That's correct.”.
With another flash of her smile the girl broke into her speech. ”This place we are in is realm located within the deepest contours of your subconscious. It can be referred to as an inner world, and is my home. The reason why I inhabit such a place is because I am a Zanpaktou. I am not your's in particular but if you can prove yourself to be worthy enough to wield the power I possess, then I will become your partner. Now are there any questions?” There would be a few moments of silence as Jinsei processed what was said. It didn't take very long so he decided to only ask a simple question for the time being. ”When can I take the test?” The question was asked in sarcastic manner which seemed to appeal to the young woman, considering how quickly she got up and opened the door, motioning for Jinsei to follow as she walked out into the village. Once outside she led Jinsei to the village plaza which was completely empty with the exception of a large fountain in the middle. After setting some distance between herself and Jinsei, she would begin speaking. ”Ok Jin-kun your test is simple. All you have to do is spar with me. In doing so I will be able to get a feel of whether or not I would like to pair up with you.”

"Hmmmn that reminds me," Yogoreta biyō said after a moment pouting slightly, "you haven't been treating me very nice, so I'll have to punish you too." Contrary to her looks she was at times rather childish and Jinsei's rough handling in the past had ruffled her feathers. Now however there was something she could do about it by beating some sense into the young man, grinning she lent forward until she began to overbalance, seemingly as if to fall on her face.
Instead however she kicked the ground, used the momentum of her fall to increase her speed as she drew closer to the Shinigami. Moving on a course that would take her slightly to his right side as she sped across the ground between them, her hands remained open; as she closed within arm's reach she darted her right hand forwards and upwards towards Jin's right eye. In this place such attacks could maim yet upon leaving the inner world the young Shinigami would be unharmed despite the wound, unless of course he died. Were he to attempt to grab her hand she would instead sweep the hand downwards to target his thumb.

Jinsei wasn't surprised when he heard the girls response to the physical use she endure over the years. Though his life as a smith caused him to frequently care for his Zanpaktou. Making sure it was clean and in top shape. However now that he discovered the spirit within was this female standing before him, Jin would remember to take even more care of her. But for now he had to pass her test, which at the moment seemed to be a fight of some sorts. She sought to pay him back for mistreatment of her. If that was the case then he would allow her to to her vengeance. ”If that's what this is about then so be it. Besides I prefer not to fight with females under no circumstances. So do what ever it is you think I deserve.”
Although he gave her permission to do with him what she wanted, Jinsei wasn't too keen on allowing himself to be beaten to a pulp. Despite his physical sturdiness, she was his Zanpaktou, and as such her feats were a reflection of his own, regardless of her physical appearance. At least he would be able to try out a new technique he had been working on. Judging the distance between the two, Jinsei would lelap back into the air. Using this extended time period, he would concentrate reiatsu around his entire frame, bonding it to the surface of his entire frame. At most this would serve to fortify his physical defenses. Bringing his arms up to guard against the girl"s initial attack. Jin would land a few feet from his former position. If all went well the young woman would proceed to deliver the rest of her punishment. All he had to do was guard certain areas.

She had been prepared for him to try to dodge, to counter attack or even to grab her hands to ward off the blow; so when he merely raised his arms to try to block her onslaught, it took her aback; it was very unlike him. 'B- Baka!' Yogoreta biyō thought a little panicked; she wanted to tell him off, yet his sudden decision to take her attack full on could only hurt him badly.
As Jinsei landed he rose his arms to ward off her blow, yet as he did so she widened her stance, dropping her center of balance as she moved forwards. Since she had been prepared to attack his hand should it grab her wrist she was quickly able to rotate her shoulder and elbow, diverting the attack downwards. Instead of hitting his partially protected face it instead struck palm forwards against his spleen. As her palm strike touched there was more resistance than she had thought; despite his build, she had known he was stronger than he looked, yet the flesh underneath should have been slightly more yielding.
((OOC:If you are attempting to use this to learn a new technique AND at the same time learn the name of your Shikai it is going to get more difficult. Don't think you can go looking down on your own Zanpakutou spirit in such a way as to use her test as a chance to try using never before developed techniques, if you do she will get more annoyed as time goes on.))

Just as Jinsei had though, the moment he went to guard her initial attack, the girl easily switched to the path of an alternative course of action. So instead of her original target the young woman struck him within torso region. If it hadn't been for his devotion to his physique along with the fortifying of his physical defenses the attack would have probably caused severe pain, and perhaps vomiting. But despite how feeble an attempt it was to formulate the hierro like technique he had been working on, it did indeed keep the pain of her attack durable. So rather than suffer it's full effects Jinsei was forced backwards, suffering from a rather annoying pain. With a slight stagger he would regain his posture as the pain subsided. ”I'm sure if you consider me to have mistreated you then your punishment is far from over correct?” Jinsei would ask, while repositioning himself into a stance that only allowed his left side to face the young woman. All the while his sapphire irises were focused on her movements.
Meanwhile his mind wondered whether or not the young woman would be capable of delivering her intended punishment. Considering she had been spawned from Jinsei, she should be capable of causing serious damage. Not only that, but she would have a rather unique personality. Possessing traits that aren't normally found together. This is something Jinsei went over in his mind, as his eyes continued to trail her.
Meanwhile he also thought about her abilities. What were they based upon? How would he be ab;e to utilize them? Given he passed her test. Hopefully she did not disappoint him. Or in the event that she did, Jin hoped that he would be able to work around it.

That he strike had caused so little effect surprised her, though it meant that she did not need to hold back as much as she had intended. "You keep saying that, but this isn't like you," She said, arcing one eyebrow, "or are you just making excuses should you lose?" She waggled her hips slightly, "Are you scared that I am perhaps I'm too much for you?" She gave a sly grin; it was playful yet at the same time there was a hint of sternness behind it, a sign of her growing impatience at his action or more specifically, his inaction. "I'm not sure I could have fun with such a boring man." She said, trying to recall him to the task at hand - this was a test, not a dance.
With that said she began to circle around him slowly, looking for some opening in his stance. For some reason the usually aggressive Jinsei was on the defensive, should he continue doing so she could not take his measure properly. "Don't dissapoint me now." Stamping her foot slightly as she took her stance anew, she looked at him, truly serious for the first time since they had met.

The young woman was correct in stating his inaction was completely out of the ordinary. However after witnessing and feeling her skills, he was left in awe of how much he wanted her as a partner. She was magnificent in almost every way. And during that moment of her first attack Jinsei became aware of just how much alike they were. ”It seems we really are meant for each other”, Jinsei said while moving to face her more properly. ”Your skills are superb. I've often wondered what my Zanpaktou would be like. You have yet to disappoint me. Not to mention the fact that you're pretty cute. With that said I will try not to be, as you said, boring.”
Now that the tone had been set it was time to for Jinsei to get a little more serious, while maintaining control of his insanity. Furthermore Jin would have to suppress his battle orientated blood lust. Jinsei would bring his arms up to lower his hood, allowing his messy silver strands to fall back into their fashioned place. After which his arms would fall back to dangle at his side while he gathered reiatsu into his feet. ”Now then, shall we begin” he asked with smirk plastered on his tattooed face. Of course the question was rhetorical. Meanwhile his mind work feverishly on several courses of action.
The main thought that had been contained within his mind. Revolved around some sort of inaction on his part, that would leave the young woman open for surprise attack. Either that or simply allow her to act while he waited for an opening in which he would be able to either strike her first or find an opening for him to strike.

She sighed slightly, at least it seemed as if he had some intention of sparring; though it had yet to be seen just how he might proceed. She was more than a little miffed, she had been looking forward to the chance to meet the man who might become her partner - yet he on the other hand had so far showed little motivation to gain her services, despite his words. Though she blushed ever so slighly, a little pleased at his flattery despite her annoyance at his inaction - men could be so troublesome. It was vexing. "Begin? It is about time." She said, her ire evident despite her earlier colouring.
((OOC: No she didn't really do anything, why? Because this is not a thread for ME to show my RP skills, it is a thread for you to earn your shikai. Therefore I will not be taking the initiative all the time, since, by reading Jinsei's profile it becomes evident that he is just as, if not MORE, aggressive than she.))

Now the Jinsei had chosen to actually participate in his test, he thought it would be best not to keep the young woman waiting. So far she seem to disapprove of his inaction, which didn"t sit well with Jin. He didn't want to fight her, but afterall it was a spar, not to mention it was his test to see if he would receive her partnership. As such he narrowed his plans down to one course of action which consisted of getting in close to have an exchange of blows with her, which to him seemed to be the best way to access one's capabilities. "Hadou taka yon, Byakurai" he would chant while lazily extending his index finger in the girl's direction, stiffening it at the last moment so it could endure the slight recoil the spell proposed when in use.
If all went well there wouldn't be enough time for the young woman to avoid being hit. Yet at the same time deep within his mind, Jinsei held onto some doubt. Doubt about the fact that it seemed way to easy for him to be able to execute the kidou so easily and hit the mark. It was this very same doubt that gave Jin hope. Why you may ask. To put it simply he did not wish to cause the woman significant harm. Hopefully she would be able to find a way to lessen the damage she would sustain when the lightning bolt would impact her.
Though Jinsei also knew that if she did succeed in avoiding most of the damage, then he should expect some form of counter attack on her part. Such was the impression she gave him. She seemed like the type to always manage to get in at least one strike when receiving one herself.

As Jinsei began to raise his hand towards her, she opened her eyes slightly and her mouth curved to an almost mischievous smile, it seemed he was about to make his words something other than lip service. Curling over slightly she stepped forwards quickly with her left foot and kicked off the ground with her right. It was on her second step that she did the unthinkable, instead of placing her right foot out properly she instead crossed her foot left behind her right leg, thrusting her right hand out to the side she gathered her reiatsu to her palm "Shō" She murmured as she leaned to the right. Not desiring any great force she omitted the incantation to it's most simplest form - not even declaring its nature nor number. It was by far the fastest and least powerful way of using a kidou, yet for her purposes it suited perfectly. As she took her right step, her awkward center of balance pulled her sharply to the right, the movement quickened as she used the pushing recoil of the Hadō Shō. To her left the pale blue, almost white, bolt of lighting like energy rocketed past.
With her balance pulling her to the right she flicked out her left foot, a sharp snapping kick towards the inside of his left knee as she used the momentum of her 'fall'.

He would watch as she immediately took evasive action, before he even finished his incantation. Her movements were flawless and never failed to astonish Jinsei. However this was no time to be awestruck. He had to act and soon, due to the drastic decline in the distance that once separated the two. It would be for this reason that Jin would hold off on the release of his technique, allowing her kick to his knee to make him fall over. It would during his descend to the ground that he would direct his fingertip in her direction and release his hold on the reiatsu he had gathered. Thus firing a bolt white lightning towards her. He didn't hold back when casting the spell and it was for that reason that Jin felt bad that he used it at such close range, eliminating almost every possibility of escaping.
Though llike before he still hoped that she found some way to avoid being completely over taken by the damage of Hado taka yon. Not to mention the fact that it was a lightning bolt. Under that thought he wondered what other damage she would suffer from being struck with such an attack. Surely the heat would burn what ever part of her it had touched.
This brought great concern for her safety. Jin wished he could take back his actions. But whats done is done. All he could depend on was the fact that she was his Zanpaktou. It was for this that she had to live and couldn't lose to some kidou spell. There was no way it would happen, especially in a mere spar. As he fell Jinsei turned his head keeping his eyes on the female, causing his silver strands to sway in accordance to the direction his head had turned.

As the bolt of energy surged towards her, she almost purred in approval; it seemed he WAS beginning to make something of himself - it was about time that he made good on his promise. In vain she twisted her shoulders and hips as she fell, yet given her current posture avoiding the attack would be impossible - she could not even get her feet under her to Shunpo away. His delayed release of the attack had taken her by surprise, but what was more promising still was that he had managed to hold onto the energy despite her sudden attack; had it been a more complex technique it would likely not have been possible with Jinsei's Kidou skills, yet as it was... Her twisting had lowered her back towards the ground as she sought to dive underneath the attack, yet the blast was too quick to evade. Instead of passing harmlessly over the top of her, the bolt of lightning struck her shoulder heavily, spinning her around under it's force as it blasted a hole in her black cotton overshirt and leaving a heavy burn on her otherwise immaculate pale honey skin. As she tumbled, she managed to twist herself, so that she was facing towards Jinsei; managing to get her right knee under her body she pushed downwards with her foot, bracing herself against the force as she halted her flight, using the last of the momentum to help her get her feet under her - the tumble had taken her nearly twelve feet from her would be 'partner'. Flexing her shoulder experimentally, she kept a smile on her face, as if delighted at finding a new toy or perhaps rediscovering the enjoyment of one she had thought she had misplaced long ago. He was beginning to perform, perhaps he was not completly lost cause afterall; in that case it was time to become a little more serious. Relaxing her posture slightly she concentrated reiryoku to her legs, then with a slight wooshing sound as if a breeze had blown through. Technique use: Shunpo She flickered over to her left side, hiding her injured left shoulder as she moved around Jinsei's right flank, passing no closer than four feet; as she released the technique she appeared slightly behind and to the right of him, in about the four o'clock position. In a deep stance with her legs twice her shoulder width apart, she tightened her hand into a closed fist as she swung a backhand towards Jinsei's floating ribs, just next to the right kidney.
