The training grounds a place where shinigami went to improve their skills, hone their skills and become overall better combatants, but no amount of training could prepare any shinigami for the real horrors of combat. It could not prepare them for the sting of betrayal, the loss of a loved one all of this and more was the reality of combat in the real world where life and death stood on a thin line. This was a reality that Kenji learned and accepted all while being a member of the 11th division, to some the 11th division was filled with mindless brutes who knew nothing but war, but in Kenji's eyes they were the most well prepared of all the squads they where mentally and physically prepared for any task. A foot stepped on the bed of dirt that covered the training grounds, the foot moved as another foot replaced it, one foot after the other following a direct path straight to the middle of the training grounds.
A pair of hazel eyes scanned the empty training grounds it was so plain here, no plant life just towering walls and dirt maybe it was to keep those who trained here well focused on the task at hand, to allow them to meet their goal. The silver haired shinigami stood at full height of six feet and two inches, the full moon above in the skies shining down providing the only light, Kenji's silver hair reflecting the moons light giving off a rather calming glow. He stood there still, with his arms down at his sides still his eyes staring straight ahead at the emptiness in front of him, the zanpaktou strapped to his waist firmly letting out a sigh of boredomn Kenji tilted his head to the side. 'I wish...I had money for a new JUMP issue' he would think to himself quietly.

Insomnia had taken hold of Jin this month, leaving the young Shinigami up all the time. His senses seemed a little more sharper. And his temper much shorter. He was constantly on edge. Especially when it was night time. While every other member of the Second Divison was sleeping, Jin remained awake and active. If not for him putting in extensive training sessions during the day, he wouldn't be able to function properly during the night. He assumed that because he overworked himself during the day, whenever he took a break to rest, it was like his body was falling asleep. So by the time night came he would feel better than the day before.
However this didn't mean he didn't spend his nights doing nothing. Jin usually trained until his body would not permit it. Though it took hours for that to happen. As such his sessions trailed into the late hours of night, when the moon was highest in the sky, before even the specks of twilight came out. The most recent part of his training involved distance sprinting. This was something he developed to increase both his speed and endurance at the same time. It involved sprinting at top speed for long distances, and taking short breaks in between.
Returning from his distance sprinting, Jin approached the training grounds. It wasn't until he turned a sharp corner leading into the actual area, did Jin see a fellow shinigami. Though he didnt know the man's name, he recognize him as a member of the Kyuubantai. Quickly Jin's mind snapped back into action causing "Hello there...", to spill out of his mouth. This would immeadiately be followed by "Would you care to train together?" Without even the slightest hesitation Jinsei would ask the Shinigami to join him in training, in hopes that it would lead to a spar of some sorts.

The lazy spikes of his leaned backwards as the cool gust of wind blew by pressing his uniform against his upper body showing a bit of his build, the slightly baggy sleeves rustled in the wind the sound almost flushed out by Kenji's long yawn. Opening his mouth wide he let out along yawn, making a few chewing noises after yawning he blinked a few times with a rather bored and sleepy look in his eyes. "I can't believe I almost fell sleep..." the young shinigami said to himself in a rather lazy tone. Then all of a sudden an unfamiliar voice spoke to him, he heard the footsteps coming in that direction but in all honestly was too lazy to look to see who it was besides he was in the Seireiti there where no enemies here, but seeing as the one making all that ruckus spoke Kenji turned to face the man. It was another shinigami, no surprise there this was after all the Gotei he was suprised though to see another person up at this hour specially one whom seemed to be as alert at this shinigami. Kenji showed the man the peace sign with his left hand, "Hello there to you to" he would say in response to the mans greeting, it would take literally seconds for the man to show his true intentions when the man asked to train Kenji could not help but scratch the back of his head a bit irritated.
'I really need to find a new place to reflect on my thoughts...' he didn't mind the training, but he wasn't a big fantatic of it either then again who the hell trained at this hour? Well Kenji was asking for it he shouldn't have come to the Training grounds there will always be that one guy who wants to train for whatever reason. In all this time Kenji had decided to just accept the mans offer to train, he wasn't doing anything productive anyway and tomorrow he had a free day again so he could sleep off any injuries he may suffer here tonight. "Yeah sure"the answer was short and simple, straight to the point it was just Kenji's attitude he didn't like to circle around a subject for very long so it was now set Kenji was to train with the no name shinigami. Letting his arms hang at his side in a lazy manner, and the baggy sleeves overlapping his hands concealing them from view he tilted his head to the side "By the way....next time you ask someone to train, it's considered good mannerism to introduce yourself. Names Kenji by the way, member of the ninth division" he wouldn't bother with his typical peace sign that followed his introductions, he had already done that instead Kenji started to stretch as he waited for the stranger to introduce himself. All the while he was thinking of a way to make this coming session as painless and as effortless as possible for himself, then an idea popped into his mind he would ask the man to teach him some kidou and in return he would teach the man a kidou spell, it was 'Genius!' he completed his thought within his own head.

Almost as fast as the words burst from his mouth and traveled through the air, did Jinsei recognize his unusual eagerness. At least that's how it would sound to the person it was meant for. Truth be told, Jin wasn't feeling enthusiastic enough to allow his demeanor to falter. Well he had already slipped up pretty bad by sounding so into training with the shinigami that stood before him. He despised moments where he staggered and seemed like an average shinigami. They didn't occur often. But when ever they did Jinsei made a habit of immeadiately correcting his mistake. "Dammit..." Jinsei would mutter to himself, while mentally he punished himself for his unfogivable mistake. What would Kenji think of him? Again he would deliver punishment upon himeself, as Jin remembered that he hadn't properly introduced himself before asking to train.
Taking a deep breath to center himself, Jin reconnected with his normal being. His elevated posture quickly sank into his casual relaxed posture. His sapphire colored eyes focussed on Kenji as he uttered "My apologies.." before entering a proper introduction. "Itazuki, Jinsei of Nibantai. But you may call me Jin. It is a pleasure meeting you Kenji. I am glad you accepted my offer. What area would you like to train in? Or would you prefer to spar?" To be honest Jinsei looked forward to a spar, so he would be delighted if Kenji had agreed to it. Though he would still be fine with any other area of training. That is to say he achieved something in doing such training.
The thought of working hard with no actual accomplishment, brought a rather disdained look to Jinsei's face. He had a feeling Kenji had thought the same.

'Jin' the name ran across Kenji's mind as he stared at the fellow shinigami's face he had a hard time remembering names and faces so he liked to think of the name in his mind and staring at the person whom the name belonged to. But as soon as he accepted the shinigami's training request it was as if he was waiting in line for an all you can eat buffet, there where certain areas to train in nowadays? Geez what an unnecessary hassle Kenji couldn't help but scratch the side of his face in slight irritation, he let out a low sigh after the boy finished speaking giving him a shrug he would reply with "How about we do some Kidou training?" the question was simple and direct like always. It was more of an answer to the shinigami's question, not really a question in itself though it would have the sound of a question but nonetheless Kenji didn't want to stand around waiting for this guy to lay out another set of options for him. This wasn't a game show after all, and Kenji sure as hell wasn't winning any money for answering the shinigamis ridiculous requests, with his arms back down at his side in the lazy manner they usually hung, the silver haired shinigami began to think of how they could train Kidou.
Then a smile crept on his face as he snapped his fingers, he had an idea all of a sudden "Hey, Jin what do you say we do a little exchange in knowledge? I show you one of the spells I know and you in return show me one of the spells you have learned. That way we both walk away from this little experience a bit more knowledgeable" he would speak in his deep yet casual tone of voice. Unknown to Jin, the silver haired menace was just trying to get out of any sort of harsh training he sure as hell didn't want to be firing off Kidou spells back and forth between himself and Jin. One reason was his Kidou knowledge was very limited and secondly it was too much work specially this late at night, he wanted things to go as smoothly as possible but as always Kenji found a way to get something out of a situation without really putting in any effort.

Kenji's response to the type of training he wished to conduct appealed to Jin relatively well. He spoke of kidou. Perfect, considering Jin had grown rather fond of the art. Though he himself only knew five low ranking spells. The rumours along with demonstrations from his days back in the Academy provided Jinsei with enough knowledge to cause him to want to progress further in the study of kidou. Not only that, but there was also the fact that he hadn't obtained shikai. Against hollow there was only so much he would be able to do without the power of a shikai. As such most hollow surpassed low level shinigami like himself. Hence why he devoted himself to creating a formidable weapon out of his own body. It was the reason hollow were stronger. They only depend on their body. Where as shinigami grow attached to their Zanpaktou and in turn they usually let their physique grow weak.
Aside from a capable physical foundation Jin found that studying kidou would also allow him to grow less dependant on his Zanpaktou. So when Kenji spoke of sharing knowledge, Jinsei found that it was impossible to refuse the offer. However his natural demeanor would only premit an "I suppose" to leave his vocals. After the words were cast, Jinsei meantally cycled through the kidou he had learned, before speaking once more. "Well I guess we should start by stating which kidou we know. Then from their we may choose which one we wish to learn. How does that sound with you?" Although the idea seemed rather childish, it was something that Jin felt should be done. After all it was fair in a sense. Though at the same time it proposed a problem if Kenji had thought of a different way to make the exchange.

Again with those choices, was this guy serious did he honestly plan on standing here to show off what Kidou he knew, and then expected Kenji to do the same? No that was not going to happen, Kenji had a better idea "Oi...Oi...let's relax for a second here buddy, no need to get ahead of ourselves. I personally believe the philosophy that working smarter not harder helps a shinigami get along in life with relative ease, so instead of standing here naming all the Kidou we know, then waiting for the other to choose. We ourselves will choose one at random, then we will show it, explain it and vuala the task will be done" he finished his sentence allowing a smirk to creep onto his face. The hazel eyed shinigami then shot his arm out to his side, in doing so a pair of sunglasses shot out of his sleeve he caught them before they flew off, he slipped the glasses on looking at Jin from behind the dark lenses. The silver haired shinigami stood there, allowing his hands to slip into his sleeves and cross over his chest under his uniform, as a seemingly unnecessary dramatic gust of wind blew by pushing the spiked hair of his to the side in the direction which the wind blew, all the while he was in a state of deep thought. Well it would so seem that he was in a state of deep thought, in reality he was thinking of the easiest spell to teach to this guy to get this over with.
All of a sudden that smirk of his would turn into a wide grin as the perfect spell came to mind, 'Outstanding...' the word would cross his thoughts as he opened his eyes having had them closed this entire time once again they set themselves on Jin. "Jin, you strike as the offensive type of fellow who likes to just beat the shit out of his enemies, so I figured I would not waste your time with a Bakudo spell. Instead I will teach you a personal favorite of mine, a Hadou spell called Okasen, its pretty basic but destructive nonetheless and if used properly can put the hurt on the enemy" finishing his explanation Kenji would push his sunglasses up fitting them back into place. He felt pumped for some reason, as if he was some grand master at the use Kidou and was about to bestow some knowledge on this fellow shinigami, Kenji would turn facing to the left now he stood there his eyes would now be visible from the side, the hazel eyes where focused on the emptiness ahead of him. "Pay attention, because I don't like to repeat myself..." he said in a rather serious tone of voice though he acted like a joker half the time and was a rather laid back shinigami, he was being completely serious he hated repeating himself. Specially when teaching a Kidou, it was a waste of time and energy his hands would unwrap themselves and slide back into the sleeves popping up at the end of the sleeves yet still hanging at his side in a lazy manner.
Another gust of wind blew by, the cool midnight wind crashed against Kenji's exposed face he closed his eyes momentarily taking in the breeze and enjoying it, he could hear the rustling of the branches in the distance it was all too perfect now. The moment was set, and it was time to show this Jin guy a new Hadou spell "First...aim your palms at the enemy like so" he would pause raising his palms up his hands together, and both palms aimed in front of him. "Next focus your reiatsu, and call out the incantation...." Kenji then began to focus his reiatsu gathering it at his palms, "Hadou number 32! Okasen!" he would yell out as the reiatsu at the palm of his hands flashed a bright yellow color then was released in the form of a wide arc. The reiatsu was fired off swiftly traveling across the ground, tearing up the earth which is passed over Kenji had not fed enough energy for the blast to travel far just enough for Jin to get an idea of what it should look like. The yellow reiatsu faded before really hitting anything, but still left a pretty deep scar on the ground it did travel over, the silver haired shinigami lowered his hands letting out a long yawn "Ya got it?" he would ask turning his head to look over at Jin.

Having gave his idea, Jinsei felt it was necessary to allow Kenji the opportunity to establish his own means to proceed with their training. However he didn't take to Kenji's response well. It seemed rather rude to speak in the manner he did. Feeling conflict would be unnecessary during the situation, Jin remained quiet while Kenji spoke, tucking his hands into his pockets too obscure his exposed veins. Although he wasn't really mad at Kenji, Jin still felt the miniscule urges that leaked from his bloodlust. Driven by this battle oriented hunger, Jinsei spent the majority of his days supressing it. This undoubtedly led to his daily restlessness. Not to mention his insanity. Which being aware of causes him to constantly stay on track shall he falter. Ironically he was not one to falter considering he follows his path.
Returning to reality Jinsei witnessed the kidou Kenji had used. As he watched from afar, Jin tried to take in as much detail as possible. Beginning with the positioning of Kenji's frame. Rather than focus on his arms and hands Jinsei looked more towards Kenji's footing and lower stance for knowledge on how to produce the technique. Of course like most Hadou this technique would require a firm footing with sturdy support from the legs. Jin often thought of them to be the foundation of using the destructive arts. Having gained heightened analytical skills since his time at the academy, Jinsei was able precieve the details leading up to the moment in which the yellow flare erupted from Kenji's hands and fanned out into a wide arc that glided over the land.
"Well you are correct in that assumption that I prefer, as you said, too beat the crap out of people[ over subduing them." Now the image of the technique was buried deep within the mind of Jinsei. Now it was his turn to display the technique his wished to share. "My turn.." Taking a deep breath Jin spread his feet slightly apart, before lifting his finger and and chanting "Hadou taka yon, Byakurai." With the words cast a single white bolt of lightning would burst from the tip of Jinsei's outstretched finger, traveling through the air a few yards before disipating into the atmosphere. Without the use of an incantation this spell didn't possess power anything close to an actual bolt. But it served its purpose as a presentation rather well. "It's a low level kidou, however it seems our current "God of the flash", Byakuya Kuchiki makes good use of it. Just like any kidou its power or effectiveness is dependant solely on the one who cast it."

Kenji observed quietly as the fellow shinigami repeated the process he had just showed to him, he did it perfectly and managed to pull off the Kidou rather well, Kenji gave the shinigami a clap as a cognratulations. Now it was time for the shinigami to teach him a kidou spell, Kenji was expeting something of equal or greater value then what he had just pulled off but instead he got a shitty little bolt. From behind the sunglasses he looked at Jin with a rather blunt look on his face as he spoke of, Captain Byakuya the up tight asshole of squad six. What the hell did Kenji care if he made good use of it? He didn't give a rats ass, 'Whoever came up with the saying an eye for an eye should've been more specific, set some ground rules...such ass an eye or equal size must be given...' he couldn't help but just sigh. Scratching the back of his head he waved off Jin, not really caring for what he had to say anymore he felt cheated he had shown this guy a pretty powerful spell and he gave him a shitty bolt in return, this was an outrage enough for Kenji to say fuck it all, turn around, and go to sleep but he was already here and coult not be rude. Turning he gave the shinigami his back as he looked off into the distance rather disapointed he raised his hand similar to the way Jin had done so.
He looked off into the distance from behind the darkened lenses, his hazel eyes focused on the emptiness there where no particular targets so he was jsut going to shoot it off at nothing, "Hadou number four...Byakurai!" he would call out in doing so the reiatsu would gather at the tip of his index finger. But not fire instead it backfired and blew up in front of him "BAH!" was all that was heard as Kenji was engulfed in a cloud of smoke and the ground shook from the minor shockwave force of the explosion, moment later he would emerge from the cloud of smoke coughing and waving his hand in frot of his wave to fan the smoke away. "Oi...Oi...what the hell happened?" he asked himself not really expecting an answer from Jin he then let out a sigh as he adjusted his shades they had moved a bit tilting from the explosion. He would look at Jin giving him a thumbs up to signal tha he was alright, turning he would once again attempt the same spell, Kenji raised his hand to chest level, he pointed the index finger at nothing. He started to gather his reiatsu and focus he pictured it gathering at the tip of his index finger, "Hadou number four, Byakurai!" he would call out in a more settled tone then before in doing so he felt the energy surge through his arm and ignite the reiatsu at the tip of his finger.
It was fire off in the form of a thin bolt, though he managed to pull it off it was rather weak compared to the one Jin had done just now. The bolt traveled very short distance before fading away into nothing, Kenji stood there sniffling he nodded to himself lowering his hand back to his side, allowing it to hang lazily. "Mission accomplsihed...."turning to face Jin giving him a thumbs up, "So what's next?" he asked already knowing what was coming, he expected not to walk out of these grounds today without a spar, he just got that feeling from this Jin guy. Kenji had always been good at analyzing people as he had done so through out this whole process.

While allowing Kenji the time to work on the Byakurai spell, Jinsei himself was also busy practicing. Remembering the positioning of Kenji's body while producing the Okasen spell, Jin mirrored the motions. Once he felt he had his posture efficient enough, he would mutter "Hadou taka San Ju Ni, Okasen!" Unlike the simple display Kenji had produced moments ago, Jin's use of the spell resulted in a wider arch that soared through the air and continued to collide with a nearby wall. The unintentional scar left upon the wall's surface only meant that the spell required more training in order to tame it's destruction. It remind Jin on Tsuzuri Raiden. When he first learned it, the electrical currents he produced were wild. Resulting in the accidental electrocution of a number of his classmates.
Jinsei's determination would cause him to attempt the spell once more, adjusting the amount of reiatsu contained within it, as well as the manner in which he fired the spell. Instead of the casual open palm he had tried firing with less reiatsu and a slightly less open palm than his first attempt. The result being a flash, well something more like a flare that would quikly fade to nothingness, as opposed to the devastating blast he had produced before. Once more he adjusted his hand. This time using the same amount of reiatsu Jin would fire the spell, this time with his fingers fully extended. This time the Okasen shot out with a recoil indicating it's physical tangibility. However after reaching such a short distance it would fizzle out and disperse into the atmosphere.
Naturally he had built some irritability towards the spell. But he worked to steady himself. Forcing him to come to focus and think about what had happened on each attempt. He then came to the conclusion that the change in amount of reiatsu was appropiate to get a physical manifestation. He had also determined that the placement of his fingers and how open or close his palm was, would change the intensity of the spell. Adjusting them slightly before firing off another spell. This time the resulting arch was present for only a short moment before fizzling out. Once more he changed positioning of his fingers, extending them out, and his palm, which he opened completely. Before uttering ”Hado taka San Ju Ni, Osaken.” Just like his first attempt a wide arch was projected towards the wall. However this time it's impact left no scar upon the wall's surface. The results being to his satisfaction.
After which he remembered having heard Kenji's response to learning such a low level kidou. As expected he wouldn't consider it a fair trade. But if all went as planned they would begin sparring shortly. During this Jinsei was hoping to try out a few techniques. If they were a success then perhaps he would teach a few of them to Kenji. As Kenji questioned what was next on the agenda, Jin was day dreaming about the future. A future where he didn't have to with plain old shinigami. He found them to be weak for spars when at lower ranks. For him, the blood lust was far to great for simple shinigami. Hopefully Kenji would be one of those few exceptions that could handle the pressure. "So how's about a little spar?", Jin would say as he returned to reality, taking a relaxed stance that involved his hands dangling by his sides. It was his most unusual stance when facing new challengers.

'What the?' was all that ran through Kenji's mind as his eyes widened with surprise, from the feeling of the other shinigami's reiatsu rising up to a level where he could use the spell he had just showed him moments ago. He turned his head looking back over his shoulder, the bright yellow color of the energy being blasted from his hand lit up the area around them, and even lit up Kenji's face. His hazel eyes watched to be honest with astonishment, he himself was not the best as Kidou and he knew this but to see someone else use a mid level kidou spell with such ease right off the bat was impressive. Kenji managed to regain himself before the other shinigami noticed his expression, he turned his body fully facing the boy now as he listed to the request to a spar. Inside of himself he sighed slightly, 'A spar? Damn it thats just unecessary work' but thinking about it, he hadn't really done any missions lately and he hadn't had a spar in a while so the shinigami figured he might as well just go with the flow for tonight.
Besides it was late, no one around, and there would be no crowd to form around them and see Kenji get humiliated in public, the silver haired shinigami took off his shades as he cleaned off the lenses with a small cloth he pulled from inside his uniform. "Alright then Jin, if it's a spar you want, it's a spar you get...I just hope you're ready for me"the voice was full of confidence and somewhat cockiness as well, Kenji slipped the glases back on as he gripped the sheath of his zanpaktou with his left hand pushing it out by the divider. He would then grip the hilt firmly with his right hand, a smirk crept onto his face the entire time his eyes stayed on his opponent Kenji drew the zanpaktou from its sheath swiftly holding it out at his side now. The well polished steel as ice cold, it had been a while since this zanpaktou had been drawn from its hiding place it had been far too long since this zanpaktou had tasted the blood of another. Of course this was just a spar, and they would both hold back but nonetheless it was a spar with real weapons not training swords, blood would be drawn no matter what. The only real question was, whom would draw first blood a heavy and cold gust of wind blew by the sound of the wind was clearly heard in the silence around them. It pushed against Kenji's body making his uniform rustle and his silver spiked hair moved about wildly his hazel eyes looked at Jin as he waited for his opponent to prepare himself.

Rather than simple standing around while Kenji prepared for the spar, Jinsei would set up preparations of his own. The start would be the quick formulation of his tactics. Noting that Kenji had drawn his Zanpaktou, he would keep in mind the increase in his range. For he himself wasn't going to use his sword unless he really needed to. Staring at the opposition Jinsei wished to get within close enough range to avoid most of the dangers Kenji's Zanpaktou proposed. However to do so he would first need a distraction. Perhaps he would use kidou during this spar. With it he could deal enough damage from afar and then move in to finish Kenji off. At least this is how Jin wanted everything to go. Hopefully his plans needed to be reworked. If not, then Kenji would prove to be a useless adversary. Something Jinsei hope to be false. He had come to appreciate the Shinigami and would like to keep things that way. In all honesty he hoped Kenji would force him into drawing his Zanpaktou. But to do that Jinsei would either have to be given reason, or backed into a corner.
”I suppose we should begin”, Jin would say while taking a few steps backwards, increasing the distance in between the two. Thanks to the adjustment he would be able to properly formulate kidou while still having time to execute them. All that remained was which kidou would he use. This is an idea he pondered while gathering reiatsu into each of his hands as well as the bottom of each of foot. In doing so he would be prepared to evade almost any attack he was able to see coming, now that he had preparations for a shunpo. With that said he would wait and see just exactly Kenji would do, before he acted himself.

Kenji stood there looking at his opponent he was suprised that he had chosen to not draw his zanpaktou, either this guy was a complete idiot or he had confidence in his skills, or did he believe Kenji to be so weak? If so he was about to get a rude wake up call, he raised his feet slightly standing on the tip toe of his feet as he prepared for anything that might happen. As Jin began to step back, Kenji took his chance to rush forward he dashed to wards his opponent "Where are you going!?" he yelled out with a wide grin on his face as he brought his zanpaktou up laying it horizontally in front of him. Holding it with his right hand he was covering the distance to prepare to slash his zanpaktou at Jin, but before he fully covered the distance Kenji used Shunpo he vanished in a blur of speed but just for a slight moment. He soon appeared once again to the left of Jin, holding the zanpaktou with a rather loose grip he spun around to wards Jin's direction he was within his zanpaktou's range. He swung the zanpaktou as he spun all in one fluid motion, his swing was aimed to the mid section aiming to cut open a rather deep gash at Jin's side this was a spar so he made sure to only make it a flesh wound, meaning that he used just the tip barely of his zanpaktou. Putting much farther away from his opponent, and well out of any hand to hand combat reach Kenji's eyes where wide with anticipation as his zanpaktou's steel blade glided across the air and to wards Jin at this close range how would he avoid the attack?

Having decided on his tactics, Jinsei's backstep would be followed up with the stiffening of the muscles located in his legs. Paying close attention to the movements of Kenji he would see the shinigami's forward motion. Jin worked quickly to access the possible outcomes of two courses of action in response to the incoming rush. The first would be to try and meet Kinji head on and fight from there. The problem this action posed was the fact that Kenji now had an extended range due to the use of his Zanpaktou. The second plan, would be to simply wait for an opening once Kenji was up close. The problems one faced in this situation would be the capabilities of their opponent. However it also meant Jinsei would less likely be hit with surprise attacks. Unless of course Kenji knew how to utilize shunpo. If that was the case, then this truly would be a challenge.
As the moment to act approached Kenji's rush was cut short by a blurred vanishing. The only explanation for his disappearance would be the use of shunpo. Which was confirmed instantly due to the swooshing sound it made upon Kenji's reappearance. The sound was close, meaning he sought for a close strike, leaving Jinsei with little to no time to react. An instinctual movement would cause him to vanish in a blur just as Kenji had done, avoiding his attack and relocating Jin a few feet away. The stance he would take upon his reappearance wouldn't be any in particular, for the simple fact that his back was towards his opponent, while he pointed one finger at Kenji, chanting ”Hadou taka yon, Byakurai” The whole time his head would be tilted in Kenji's direction to allow his eyes to see if his attack would hit it's target.

All he hit was air his zanpaktou swung missing its target by mere seconds, stopping his swing Kenji then heard the familiar 'swoosh' he looked over at Jin only to see him preparing a Hadou spell, Kenji grinned as he moved forward and rolled passing right under the bolt of reiatsu. He would waste no time upon stopping his roll he would go off into a quick dash to wards Jin, he had already fired his spell, Kenji had covered distance with the quick roll and now was dashing at him. Kenji had his zanpaktou off to his right side, gripping it firmly as he got close enough he suwng the zanpaktou horizontally at Jin, this time there where no feints or fakes it was just a simple slash. He had entered the range where his zanpatkou's blade was at strikign distance placing him well away from his opponent, but all the while he was gripping his sheath with his left hand why? Because Kenji was not done if his swing hit or missed, he would spin having pulled the sheath from his sash. Quickly turning it in his hand, he would come around swinging it in a diagonal fashion at Jin, aiming to smash the solid sheath like a club into Jin's side, as he spun taking a step forward incase Jin stepped back to avoid the zanpaktou. That way any made distance would be covered and leaving Kenji well within striking distance with his sheath.
