Tsukasa sighed as he stared around the classroom. All the students were being attentive, save for a few who were passing notes and whispering to each other. School was such a chore; he hated having to go. “There’s nothing for me to gain by doing this anyways…” he muttered to himself as he sighed. He never really paid attention at school; his mind was somewhere else anyways. It hadn’t been too long since that encounter with the masked monsters. He couldn’t recall every single detail, but the one most prevalent in his memories was the moment his body was able to give him the strength to fight against them. He had been aware of what he had done, but he wasn’t sure exactly what had happened to him. Recalling the events and trying to visualize his actions, it was apparent that he had become overtaken by something, becoming more beast-like in the process. It had given him a lot of power; he wasn’t able to originally wound those monsters, but after the sudden burst of energy, he had been able to dispose of them pretty easily. “I wonder if I can encounter more of those monsters…” Tsukasa wondered.
After all, he did want to become much stronger, and this kind of thing seemed to grant him enormous amounts of power. His strength as a human couldn’t stand a chance against those things, but within that instant, he had become much more than human. It was great to know that he had such an ability dormant within him, but he didn’t know how to willingly use it. He figured that he could only find out by finding those monsters again. “All this started happening ever since I could see father’s spirit...” he thought to himself as he continued, “so maybe I’ll be able to find them easily now…” With a new goal in mind, Tsukasa started to become rather excited about life. Everything had been going terribly for him, but he could finally become stronger; he could keep the promise he made with his father. He patiently waited for school to end, and as the bell rung, he got up and immediately left the class room. He wasn’t running, but he wasn’t walking either. “Hey, Tsukasa-kun, let’s walk home toge-“ a girl called out as he walked past her. “No time for this…” he thought to himself as he hurried.
He continued along his usual path from school and stopped at the place where he had first chanced upon the monsters. “Nothing huh…” he thought to himself as he headed back home. “I’ve returned, kaa-san.” Tsukasa said as he entered his house, ignoring her words as he lost himself in thought. He didn’t really know too much about these monsters, but he thought back to what they had done when he met them. There had to be some purpose. “I remember…! Spirits…souls…but what do they want…?” he thought to himself as he got up and headed out. Running towards the Karakura Districts, Tsukasa figured that it would be easy to encounter them where there were a lot of people. The more people there were, the greater the chance that the person that maybe these monsters were interested in would be present; it was fairly common sense. Tsukasa paid no attention to the blinking lights, the laughter and chatter of people, or the sound of cars that filled the area. He was searching for these monsters and he wasn’t going to let any of these ordinary things distract him.
As he continued to roam the rampant streets, he suddenly heard a shriek coming from the more outer and more solitary parts of the districts. “This sound…it has to be…!” he thought to himself as he headed straight for the direction where he could hear the loud noise. As he found his way to it, there it was. A white-masked monster whose body was in the shape of a Hercules beetle lay as it let loose another roar. “Finally…!” the monster spoke as Tsukasa was surprised. “It can speak…?” He thought to himself as the monster continued, “I could smell a very delicious human…but I didn’t think it would come right to me!” Tsukasa smirked as he said nothing. “What’s with that smirk, human?! I’ll show you!” it said as it started to charge towards Tsukasa. The monster was rather large; dodging it was no easy task. Tsukasa had to utilize his entire body to lunge out of the way, leaving him little time to recover. “Done already?” it asked as it came closer, pinning Tsukasa to a wall with its rather large horn-like protrusion of its mask.
“Not yet…” Tsukasa muttered as he could feel his body starting to feel strange. “Here it is…! That feeling…” he thought to himself as he felt strength surging through his body. His body had suddenly been enveloped by a crimson red aura, and his eyes had changed, becoming more savage in appearance. “W-what…?” the monster said, confused. Tsukasa’s face now had a grin as he muttered, “Judgment.” Raising his left arm, Tsukasa launched it straight down on the horn, piercing it with his hand. It brought about great pain for the monster, obvious by the way it pulled back and started to shriek. “Y-you! How dare a mere human…!” it started to yell as Tsukasa said nothing, simply standing back up. He was now hunched over, arms held in front of him at his sides, right leg forward. Kicking off his feet, Tsukasa launched himself towards the monster, finding himself in front of a multitude of legs, right below and to the left of the monster’s head. Swinging his arm as hard as he could, Tsukasa attempted to tear off one of the hollow’s legs, but to no avail. Despite its large size, it was rather fast, and it was able to maneuver its way to safety. Tsukasa let loose a loud roar in frustration, but it seemed to have little effect.
“You sure have fine reiatsu…” the hollow said, “but with those kinds of tricks, just stay still and be a good meal!” It ran towards Tsukasa and tackled him, forcing Tsukasa backwards. His arms had been held in front of him, and they had taken the force of impact, and it wasn’t very pretty. “I can’t take too many of those…” Tsukasa thought to himself as he found it hard to think normally, “Just need an attack…being close isn’t working…” Tsukasa thought to himself as he wondered what to do. He was starting to run out of options, but surely, there was more to this power than he knew. “Just gonna have to try…” he thought to himself as he extending his left arm back. It was all or nothing; Tsukasa started to concentrate at his left arm, hoping something would happen. He could feel something gathering and swung his arm forward, releasing a wave of red reiatsu. “Did it work…?” he wondered as he watched as the attack failed. He had been able to gather this strange energy and launch it, but it wasn’t good enough. It dissipated before even reaching the masked being.
“Hahaha…pitiful…can’t even utilize it properly…” The hollow teased as it ran forward to assault Tsukasa once more. Tsukasa gave a low growl as he became a little agitated; he was hoping it would work, but it hadn’t. There was something missing, but he wasn’t sure what. He had to think of it fast because this was his last resort; it all came down to whether he could master this incomplete technique. “Come on…” he thought to himself impatiently as he ran off to the side, avoiding the hollow’s full body charge. Pulling back his arm again, Tsukasa concentrated once more. Curling his fingers, Tsukasa swung his arm with all his might, releasing yet another wave of reiatsu, which made its way to the opponent this time, although it failed to actually do harm. “Keh, you’re getting annoying…” the hollow commented as it turned and charged once again. Tsukasa outmaneuvered the beetle-like monster with ease, appearing behind it as he decided to try the attack once more. Concentrating for a third time, Tsukasa felt the reiatsu gathering at his fingertips.
“Let’s GO!” he roared as he released the crimson colored attack once more, which left its mark this time. The crescent-shaped attack shot out and sunk itself into the monster’s skin, slicing cleanly where it made contact, dispersing after cutting a foot deep into the monster’s body. It gave out a fierce shriek as it started to twist and turn in agony. Not letting this chance slip out of his grasp, Tsukasa decided to make sure this wasn’t just a fluke. He tried to go for it again immediately, but found that it his reiatsu wouldn’t gather. “Guess I have to rest a bit…” he thought to himself as he realized that the monster was still thrashing about. Stepping back around ten feet to make sure he wasn’t hit by the flailing monster, Tsukasa drew back his left arm, concentrating once again. “This feels about right…” Tsukasa thought to himself as he swung his arm once again, releasing another red wave of reiatsu. It struck one of the monster’s forelegs, cutting it cleanly off as the monster fell over due to the missing limb. Smirking, Tsukasa didn’t relent, rather giddy that he had been able to gain access not only to his powers, but learn something new along with it as well.
Tsukasa continued to decimate the poor hollow, whose bark was far worse than his bite. The end resulted in the hollow’s entire body being torn apart, leaving only part of the torso attached to the head. “Sayonara.” Tsukasa muttered to the hollow as he pierced the hollow’s head with his left hand, simply stabbing it with all his force. As soon as the battle was over, Tsukasa’s eyes returned to normal and he went back to being his regular self. “So I guess I’ve gotten how to use this power of mine…I’ll have to keep using it and see the extent of my abilities…” he thought to himself as he headed back home, satisfied with his progress. He was becoming stronger, and just learning a technique and learning how to willingly use his ability was big progress to him. All that was left was to continue to develop and push his limits. He knew he had a long road ahead of him, but he was determined to continue.

Tsukasa wasn’t quite done yet with his self-training. He had obtained a new ability, but there were too many things he didn’t know about it. He could only really say that he honed this move if he learned its limitations and capabilities. All he knew about this move that he dubbed ‘Bestial Slash’ was that it allowed him to gather his reiatsu and unleash it in the form of a slash, which would then travel towards the target and attempt to slice right through it. “It doesn’t take too long to charge and use, but I should learn about the distances…how far it can go…all that…” he thought to himself as he continued to wander around the town. “These things are attracted to my ability for some reason…” he commented as he concentrated. The crimson red reiatsu overflowed from his body and wrapped itself around him as his eyes changed. “Look for them…” he muttered as he started to travel around the desolate area of the districts, simply waiting for one of the Hollows to just show up and try to fight him. A small rush of excitement flushed his body as he heard the roar of a Hollow, not too far away.
Running over immediately, Tsukasa spotted the hideous thing, which looked like a frog. “Time to do this…” he said to himself as he stared at the distance from him and the Hollow. The Hollow was on top of a one-story building, an abandoned store, and Tsukasa was simply on the floor. “I’m…about…twenty feet…” he thought to himself. It was a bit hard to calculate the distance; when his ability was active, his instincts took over. It was a little hard to think when there was prey right in front of him. Putting his left arm back, Tsukasa concentrated his reiatsu which gathered at his fingertips. With one swift stroke, Tsukasa released the jet of energy in the form of a crescent blade, which reached the Hollow, sinking into its flesh but not doing as much damage as he recalled. “It gets weaker with distance…?” Tsukasa wondered as he prepared another one. However, the Hollow wasn’t dumb enough to stand still after being hit. It immediately leaped to the right and looked like it was preparing something. Tsukasa paid no attention as he prepared another attack, repeating the same movements and executing his attack.
The distance was about the same as before, maybe it had changed slightly, but it was more or less unchanged. Tsukasa simply observed the attack. Thanks to his stronger eyes, the movements of the energy slash were rather clear to him. He could see that the blade didn’t change speed, but the energy seemed to diminish a little. “That’s why…” he thought to himself as he made a note; the air friction intervened and whittled away at his energy projectile as the distance accumulated. The energy blade was absorbed by the Hollow, who made no noise as it opened its mouth, launching a green glob at Tsukasa. “What the…?” he thought to himself as he put his left arm back once more. However, he knew that it was going to take awhile, “Tch. Guess there’s a bit if a waiting time…” he commented, annoyed. The green glob moved closer to him, but Tsukasa was able to defend himself with a last minute maneuver. Concentrating at his throat, he released a loud roar that seemed to cause the area to shake a little. The green glob was hit by the amplified sound waves, slowly down.
A small bit of it landed on Tsukasa’s clothing, burning through it, but the rest of it simply landed on the floor, steaming. “I should hurry up…” Tsukasa thought to himself as he figured he had toyed enough with the Bestial Slash for now. He knew how distances affected the attack and drew the line at twenty five feet. Any further and the technique would basically be useless. Also, while it doesn’t take too long to actually execute the technique, there is a bit of a waiting time between each one. He estimated roughly five seconds between each slash. So far, he had a total of three techniques, ‘Bestial Takeover’, Roar, and Slash. With the exception of the first one, the other two were fairly offensive, the former of the two being more of a supplementary technique. The only downfall to both of them was that they both grew weaker as the distance lengthened. Essentially, Tsukasa had no true long ranged technique. However, he would have to fix this problem later. For now, he had to take care of the Hollow in front of him.
“Let’s finish this quick…” Tsukasa muttered as he ran straight towards the Hollow, who had no way of defending itself with its spit. It swung its arm towards Tsukasa, but Tsukasa had prepared his Bestial Roar in the meantime, releasing the loud roar right before the Hollow could reach him. The Hollow had become stunned for a moment by the reiatsu-amplified sound waves, giving Tsukasa an opening. Putting his arm back, Tsukasa concentrated for a moment and swung his arm forward, releasing the red slash as it sliced through the Hollow’s mask, killing it almost instantly. The Hollow dissipated as Tsukasa released himself from ‘Bestial Takeover’. It was about time he headed home for now. He would probably return after some rest to further explore his abilities. He couldn’t possibly dare call himself a master of his technique after only using it in two encounters. Only with regular usage can he slowly hone the techniques he knew.
“Rest for now…I’ll think about it later…”

Tsukasa awoke in his bed after a good night’s sleep. He had been obsessed with hunting Hollows lately, and to his satisfaction, there had been many Hollows to pick fights with as well. He didn’t know if it was always like this, but the important thing was that he had a seemingly endless amount of targets with which he could hone his skills. Tsukasa quickly groomed himself, washing his face, brushing his teeth, brushing his hair. However, even during all of this the only things that ran through his head was the information he had about his own powers. They were rather fascinating to him and he wondered to what extent he could master and improve these abilities. All he knew was that they were the result of manipulating something called reiatsu. Tsukasa wasn’t too familiar with what it was, but he knew he had at least some form of control over his since he could use his special abilities. He did know a few more things about it though: it wasn’t an infinite source, seeing as how Tsukasa started to feel exhausted the day before after using his abilities too much. Whether this could change or not is still a mystery to him.
Looking into the mirror in front of him, Tsukasa let his reiatsu flow, activating ‘Bestial Takeover’ for a brief moment. Seeing the change in his eyes, he saw that his reiatsu seemed to have returned. Through this, Tsukasa learned that reiatsu restores itself over time. This reassured Tsukasa a little, but it was a bit problematic too. As he was, he couldn’t fight too many Hollows in a day before exhausting his reiryoku. However, there was only one thing he could do, regardless of this knowledge: practice. All he had to do was keep training his abilities. Surely they would somehow improve. With this in mind, Tsukasa undid his takeover, returning to normal. Making his way to the dining room, Tsukasa greeted his mother, who had already prepared breakfast. “Itadakimasu.” Tsukasa said as he began to eat his breakfast, a simple and typical Japanese meal. “I’ll be back later.” Tsukasa said to his mom as he made his way out. Today was Sunday, a day off. He could go out and hunt the Hollows as he wished. The excitement ran through him as a grin broke upon his normally emotionless face.
He wasn’t so sure where to start looking for Hollows. There were a few rumors that monsters had been sighted at the Tsubakidai Park, but those rumors often took place during the night time, so the odds of finding one during the day time was unlikely. Now that he was a little more aware about reiatsu and his limits, he was a little unsure of whether he should just let it go and walk around to attract Hollows. Would that empty his reiryoku levels before he could encounter a Hollow? It was risky and he didn’t feel too confident. Luckily for him, he wouldn’t have to move too far. As he neared one of the more desolate parks nearby, he could feel a pressure roaming about. His instincts were telling him that this was the presence of a Hollow. Heading to the park, he let his reiatsu run wild for a second, attracting the Hollow’s presence. From the way he felt, it was evident that the Hollow was a little stronger than the ones that he’d fought against before. Soon enough, the Hollow revealed itself. Its shape was similar to that of a gorilla, rather humanoid but with long arms that touched the floor.
[white]“Ahh…a delicious human has come…”[/white]
Tsukasa could hear the words of the Hollow as he released his reiatsu which surrounded him like an aura. Tsukasa lowered his stance and held his arms out as he prepared to release a ‘Bestial Slash’ straight from the beginning. He could use it a few times and it was best that he use it early to gauge the strength of the monster in front of him. Drawing his arm back, Tsukasa concentrated his reiatsu as he swung his arm, letting loose a jet of reiatsu towards the Hollow. Their distance wasn’t too great; a normal Hollow would retain a shallow wound. However, as they made contact, the Hollow made no sound as it muttered [white]”That’s it?”[/white] Tsukasa was a little surprised by this. He had known that this Hollow was stronger, but he didn’t expect it to be completely unfazed by the attack. The Hollow than followed through with a dash, attempting to just smash its fist straight into Tsukasa. Using his heightened speed, Tsukasa was able to jump out of the way, although he tried to stay close to the Hollow. He attempted to use his nails to slash at the Hollow to test it, which also revealed that the Hollow had a heightened defense.
“What the hell…? How can I even harm this thing?” Tsukasa thought to himself as the Hollow smashed its fist into him with a swing, sending him flying backwards, crashing into a fence. The pain surged through his body as he fell to the floor. His back had slammed into metal bars and the impact from the Hollow’s fist to his body was unbearable. Reflexively, he had been able to minimize some of the damage by jumping backwards a little, but the fact that he was hit still remained unchanged. “This is dangerous…I need more strength…this one’s defensive…can’t hurt it with what I’ve got…” Tsukasa thought to himself as he wondered if there was anything he could do with his reiatsu. He considered trying to maybe create a stronger variant of the ‘Bestial Slash’, but what he needed wasn’t a strong one-time use technique. If that failed, then he would just be expending his reiatsu needlessly. He slowly stood up as he looked ahead to realize that the Hollow was slowly closing in. Thinking about his ‘Bestial Takeover’, Tsukasa wondered if there was anything more he could do with a similar method.
[white]“Come on, human. Stop struggling and be my food.”[/white]
Tsukasa listened but he ignored it. Who would willingly become food for a beast like that? At least he could still use his speed to maintain distance from the Hollow, buying him time to consider his options. He continued to avoid each fist the Hollow sent at him, leaping each time to barely escape the attack. Neither his arms nor reiatsu-based techniques had enough power to get rid of this Hollow. He needed a way to somehow augment his own physical strength to defeat this monster, otherwise he’d end up as a meal for the damn thing. ‘Bestial Takeover’ used reiatsu to increase his physical prowess, so was there a way to use reiatsu to bolster his strength even further? It was spur of the moment, but he had no other option but to try it. Gathering and concentrating his reiatsu towards his left arm, Tsukasa wrapped it to create a casing. There wasn’t too much time; the Hollow was closing in with every second and he was just standing still, waiting for the arm to finish creating itself. Closing his eyes, Tsukasa tried desperately to get some sort of shape or figure, hoping to be able to fight back this time. However, it didn’t seem like it was going to work. He was in too much of a rush; his ‘visualization’ of what he wanted to form wasn’t complete.
Although the reiatsu did start to envelop his arm to form some sort of armor, it was taking too long and simply didn’t take shape or even maintain any form of property. The hulking Hollow had been able to catch up and simply smashed its fist straight into Tsukasa, who had been struck by the large knuckles which seemed to suck the very life out of him. Being launched backwards, Tsukasa crashed against into a fence. The pain continued to surge throughout his body as he noted that his breathing was getting significantly heavier. He wasn’t quite broken yet, but the sheer strength of the Hollow was indeed impressive. It was pretty much difficult to stand really, but his adrenaline allowed him to suppress some of this pain, enough to allow him to at least try and stand up to fight. ”Come on…I just need a little more…what do I have to do to get this right…?” he wondered. He didn’t actually know what was missing. His concentration was probably there. The reiatsu had succeeded in starting to wrap him, but evidently, it had no effect so far.
Well, it was best to continue trying until he got it right. If he could at least get it right once, he would likely be able to do it again. Concentrating around his left arm once again, Tsukasa tried to gather his reiatsu. He tried harder to actually put in more of his desires, as in what he wanted the technique to be like. ”Like an armor…like the ones knights wear…” he continued to try and focus. However, he was soon interrupted by the loud stomping of the Hollow as it moved closer. Looking at the Hollow, Tsukasa saw that it was just about ready to punch him again, although it was more of a smash, as the monster simply raised its arm and tried to bring it down as hard as it could. Although the size of its fist would make it rather difficult to sidestep, jumping out of its path was no problem. Kicking off the floor, Tsukasa jumped forward, lunging between the Hollow’s legs as he tumbled behind the gorilla-like monster. He felt that he might have been able to use a new technique that time, but he had to give up all of his concentration and effort to jump to safety.
”Just a little more…” Tsukasa thought to himself as he prepared for the technique once again. He would have to give a bit more effort, to quickly express the characteristics he wanted for the technique and mold the arm. The Hollow had just finished turning around as Tsukasa had already been focusing once more. The crimson red reiatsu had started encasing his arm once again, wrapping itself over his left arm as Tsukasa quickly tried to mold it as fast as he could. He didn’t really have it in him to keep jumping out of the way of the gorilla Hollow’s attacks. At this point, it was basically do or die. The reiatsu around his arm started to take shape, as it started to form the fingers. The Hollow, at the same time, had already begun to prepare for his next attack, seemingly giving a victory cry as it cocked back its arm. Luckily, Tsukasa’s arm finished, creating an encasing that would give off the impression that Tsukasa’s arm had transformed into that of a demon’s. His ‘claws’ were elongated and sharp and his arm was crimson red with a slight increase in bulk.
The Hollow tried to send its fist into Tsukasa, who blocked with his arm. The force of the impact was able to push him back, but Tsukasa noted that there was seemingly no pain or damage done from it. “Strong…” Tsukasa thought to himself as he looked up at the Hollow’s mask. They didn’t visibly show emotion, but he could tell that it was in pain from that clash due to its furious shrieks. Still nearby, Tsukasa decided to capitalize on this chance, using his claws and swinging his arm at the Hollow. Tsukasa felt heavy resistance but he was able to tear out a chunk of the Hollow’s arm, causing it to shriek even louder. “Finally…! I can win!” Tsukasa thought to himself as he made a fist and punched the very same arm of the Hollow, causing it to collapse onto the floor, shoulder smashing onto the ground. Now that he was close to its face, Tsukasa could easily exterminate it.
“Food? We’ll see who exactly is where on the food chain.” Tsukasa remarked as he revealed the long claws and slashed at the Hollow’s mask. It had tried to beg for mercy, but Tsukasa had ignored it. The Hollow slowly dissipated into nothing as Tsukasa let the reiatsu go. As he started to walk away he noticed that his body suddenly felt heavier. “It can’t be…!” he thought to himself as he started to trudge across the park. He definitely had to go home right now. It seems that technique drained him considerably, even though he didn’t have it active for that long. He was able to make it to his house, but it was unbearable. His legs ached at this point. He had been constantly jumping around and then he had used up too much of his reiatsu, leaving him exhausted. He would need some food and probably a nap before he even considered going back out to fight another Hollow.

Tsukasa had successfully reached his house, gulped down some food he could find in the refrigerator. His mother was apparently out and wouldn’t be back for awhile. Jumping on top of his couch, Tsukasa laid down and put his arm over his eyes to take a nap. Another hour would pass by before Tsukasa woke up, but once he had, he was feeling much better. His legs were fine; all the training he had done throughout his life had conditioned his muscles. But that didn’t really matter anyway. Tsukasa’s objective was to just go to the practice room in his house, formerly the ‘dojo’ area when his father was still around. He needed to run through his abilities to get a greater understanding of them. He had a grasp on most of them, experience being the one thing he was truly lacking in, but there was that new technique that he had used not too long ago. He would have to brush up on its strengths and weaknesses a little before actually putting to use. Last time was an exception since he could’ve died had he not used it, but if he recklessly went around using abilities whose strengths and drawbacks he had no idea of, he would likely die.
For now, he would just brush up on the techniques he was already aware of. Letting his reiatsu flow, Tsukasa lowered his stance as the crimson red energy covered him, teeth sharpening as his eyes became sharper and fiercer. His nails also seemed to become sharper as well. Being his main ability, Tsukasa already knew a lot about this technique that he called ‘Bestial Takeover’. It generally granted him greater physical prowess as well as a few bonuses such as enhanced hearing, sense of smell, like that of a beast, a canine in particular. At the same time, he also became less calculative. He became more dependent on his reflexes like a beast would, fighting solely on instinct. He did have enough intelligence to tell when he was losing, winning, and when he needed to make a change, but generally, he became less intelligent. The drawback wasn’t too big though, just a flaw that might distinguish the fine line between victory and loss when it came to a fight against an opponent of similar strength. Staring at his hand, Tsukasa made a tight fist as he noted that his gains are much greater than the losses.
Continuing on, Tsukasa decided to use the ‘Bestial Roar’ once. Breathing in, Tsukasa concentrated the reiatsu at his throat and released a fierce roar, piercing the room’s silence with the heavy sound that would easily deafen a regular human should one be in the room. This was a simple technique. A roar reinforced by reiatsu to induce deafness and disorientation to the target. There wasn’t much to note about it other than the fact that it was useless against stronger opponents and only a supplementary technique. It could buy time or act as a defensive one if timed properly but proved to have no offensive capabilities.
Tsukasa decided to move on and the next technique was the ‘Bestial Slash’. It was his only true offensive technique, although not too effective. He dared not use it in this room for fear of tearing it apart. He had used it often enough to have learned of its traits without having to use it once again. It was fairly strong and ranged, which was a plus, but its strength also diminished a little if the target was further away. As a result, this technique is only really dangerous when used during close quarter’s combat, which essentially makes it more of a close-ranged technique despite its long-ranged capabilities.
Now, there was this fourth technique. It was his newest one and Tsukasa was unaware of what it was completely capable of. He knew a few general things, such as the fact that it increases his physical strength and can also be used to act as a shield. He also knew that it used up a lot of his reiatsu within just one usage. Concentrating on his left arm, Tsukasa watched as the reiatsu wrapped his arm, encasing it as it took shape once more. Using his index finger, Tsukasa poked at the wooden floor below, which the finger easily pierced through. It confirmed his strength increase. Deciding to test out how tough it really was, Tsukasa raised his right arm and slammed it down as hard as he could to his left. As he did so, a great pain surged through his right arm as he held it. “What the hell…this thing feels like metal armor…” he thought to himself as he dispersed the technique immediately. Activating it once again, Tsukasa timed how long he could use it for before feeling the taxation on his reiryoku.
“1…2…” “…60……68…” “71…”
Tsukasa had been counting for awhile, which would provide a rough estimate of how long it could last. As he reached the mid seventies, however, he started to feel the burden of it. He released the technique as soon as he felt it and noticed how exhausted he really was. “So I can’t even hold it for two minutes if I used other techniques beforehand…” Tsukasa thought to himself as he continued, “How troublesome…”
For now he had reviewed and studied a little about his techniques. There was no doubt that there was much he still didn’t know, but he would only be able to improve himself by continuous practice: battling against Hollows.
