There Sayurin Momoiro was again preparing to train her skills as a Shinigami. However, this time it wasn’t normal training. After acquiring permission from Lieutenant Hinamori, she was given leave to train in the Rukongai this time. The reason for this, because the potential for mass destruction in Seireitei would be too high, due to what she planned to train. Yuri now stood in her custom-made training uniform; she was in a clearing a far distance north of Seireitei. Here she stood with the book bestowed upon her by Captain Unohana. She studied each and every page intently, looking to find the best Kido to learn.
The book she was reading through was no normal Kido book; it was an advanced Kido book that held many high powered Kido. Unlike the normal books that covered Kido from level 1 to Level 60, this one covered up to level 70. Although that might not seem like much of a difference, Sayurin recognized it as the next step to her ambitions. She wanted to become stronger to help others; she wanted to become stronger to protect her squad and the rest of the Gotei 13. She trained for this purpose; it was what all her training thus far contributed to.
The wind blew at her long dark, blue hair, as she stood there. She read and read and the wind around her grew strong her. The sky grew darker as she read, but she didn’t care. Right now all that mattered to her was proving to herself that she had what it took to become stronger. When she first got the book she thought nothing of it, but now that she was far away from Seireitei and in the middle of nowhere, her true feelings came out. She was becoming engulfed by her ambitions.
“It’s beginning to rain,” She said as she looked up to the sky. It had begun to drizzle, but it was obvious the weather would only get worse. After her first statement, she no longer acknowledged the weather though. She read and read until she decided on a spell. ‘This is the one that Lieutenant Momo had mentioned, Hado 63: Raikoho.. I will learn this one.’ She began to read the descriptions, the incantation, and the directions. She absorbed the information that the book had to give. She did notice that the text was more advance and included more directions and such, but that didn’t bother her at all.
Yuri probably spent 15 minutes in that drizzle just memorizing the incantation of the spell. She covered the book with a bag she brought containing her food. Once she was prepared, she placed the book in that bag and put it behind a nearby rock. She had chosen this situation specifically because of the rock, regardless of how much destruction she created, the rock would hopefully prevent any damage to the book in the bag. She had promised to take care of the book and she planned to keep that promise.
Now that she was ready, she walked a couple feet ahead of the rock. Now standing with the rock at her back, she was prepared to start practicing the spell. She looked ahead of her, and around her, to make sure that there wasn’t anything or anyone that she might hit if she were to somehow succeed. Next she began to feel for the flow of her own Reiatsu. Knowing that this spell was far more powerful than her previous owns, she made she to devote a lot of time on exercising her Reiatsu. She spent a good 10 minutes gauging her Reiatsu and making sure it was where she wanted it. “Reinforce” She said multiple times as she used her defensive spell on each piece of clothing she wore.
“Here we go.” It was a stern look on her face, stern, but focused. She placed her small hands ahead of her, both side by side with palms facing forwards. "Sprinkled on the bones of the beast.. Sharp tower.. red crystal.. steel ring.. Move and become the wind.. stop and become the calm.. The sound of warring spears fills the empty castle!" Upon finishing the incantation, she immediately forced as much Reiatsu out of her palms. With no idea as to what happened, she next found herself lying in front of the boulder that stood behind her.
“What just happened?” She asked herself as she looked forward. Her eyes moved up to where she was standing – there she saw nothing. She looked down at her clothing to find that they were singed, even though they were spiritually enhanced to take more damage. She tried to run through her head what happened, but all she remembered was watching energy fly from her palms and then she was next to the rock. “There.. must have.. been an explosion,” She said as she picked herself up from the ground. It was the most rational reason she could think of, but also it was the one reaction she was expecting.
Sayurin wasn’t so naïve as to think that she was going to get this Kido down on the first try. Polishing off her clothes with her hands, she walked back over to where she was standing when she casted the spell. Immediately her hands flew forward, her palms were once again facing forward too. "Sprinkled on the bones of the beast.. Sharp tower, red crystal, steel ring.. Move and become the wind, stop and become the calm. The sound of warring spears fills the empty castle!" She chanted once again. Remembering what she did the first time, Sayurin tried gain control when she sent out her Reiatsu. Still, she found herself back at the rock a second later.
Picking herself up once again, she was already prepared to try it again. Again and again she tried the spell and each time she was blown back by the amount of force supplied when trying to form the attack; this went on for more than an hour. “What am I doing wrong!?” She asked herself. Normally she would ask Senmidori’s advice, but that wasn’t the case this time. She thought and thought through the feelings she had when using the ability. She hoped to find some clue as to what she was doing wrong. ‘When I finish the incantation, I force out Reiatsu. The Reiatsu moves forward and creates an explosion.’ She thought as she then turned to look at the rock. ‘I then fly back towards the rock, somehow living.’ She looked back and forth between the two destinations. It was then that the drizzling had stopped. ‘I’ll think it over while I eat.’ She thought as she turned to head back to her bag.
She had a sandwich, but while she eats she continued to analyze the situation. “The spell uses a lot of energy and I’m letting it out.” She said out loud as she thought. “I am pushing the Reiatsu outward, but that’s as far as its going.” She took a bite of her sandwich and then drank some of the tea she brought with her. “It probably needs to be pushed out further, the Reiatsu.” She reasoned with some food still in her mouth. It made sense to her; the reiatsu is being released, but it wasn’t going anywhere. With nowhere to go, the Reiatsu tried returning to her body. The Reiatsu that could not return then exploded.
After she was finished eating, Sayurin wiped her face with a napkin and cleaned up. Strangely enough, the rain began to fall again, but this time it was a bit heavier than the drizzle that came down prior to her eating.
Yuri returned to the place she had been shooting off the Kido. She flicked her hair to her back and then began to work on casting the Kido again. She said the chant just as she said before, but when it was time that she sends out her Reiatsu, she tried hard to push it forward. She was too slow; another explosion happened. The difference between this time and the previous times was that this time she saw it. The explosion occurred about two feed ahead of her, but it was stronger than before. Still, she was able to react this time and allowed for her to be blown back. After flying back a distance, she regained her footing and ran back up to where she was standing.
She knew that the stronger explosion was due to the Reiatsu having nowhere to go at all because her body was further away. All she had to do was release her Reiatsu a lot quicker. She placed her palms forward, said the incantation and soon was blown back again. Regaining her footing, she tried again. She got to the incantation and pushed on her Reiatsu more than she did previously. She continued to repeat this activity, even as the rain continued to get worse.
