The middle aged man looked down at his finely manicured nails for a moment as he considered the problem before him; his naturally long lashes batting for a moment as he reached up to smooth the Purple vestments upon his chest - since ancient times purple had been the colour of royalty and so it was here, for the one who groomed himself was none other than the King of the South-Western Wastes of Huecco Mundo. While others had flocked to Aizen's banner under threat of death or in pursuit of power and advantage, Sebastian had not been swayed; nor had he been visited by the former Shinigami Captain, whether by oversight or if those of Las Noches were simply ignorant of Sebastian's splendour the young Vasto Lorde was unsure, yet it mattered little to him - he had free reign over his dominion far from the ivory dome's clutching fingers.
Since time immemorial Hollows had fed upon the humans and for just as long the Shinigami had hunted them in turn; Sebastian was but six hundred years of age, yet he had risen to among the very highest of his kind as he slowly but surely cemented his position at the top of the food chain. In time none had been able to stand before him and he had carved out his own kingdom among the sandy wastes of Huecco Mundo, those who wanted protection or who desired more power had flocked to his banner. It had been easy at first, but for nearly one hundred years the machinations of the Shinigami Rouges who now ruled Las Noches had steadily usurped those who might have been recruited to his army's ranks.
As the growth of his minions stalled Sebastian had become increasingly disquiet about that which Aizen had offered to those who joined him – the ability to merge their own hollow abilities with those of Shinigami, to undergo Arrancarisation, to become an Arrancar. Why one would want to forgo their own power – to assume the form of a weak human, was beyond Sebastian's reasoning. Others too had been greatly sceptical and even resentful of the rule of Shinigami within Huecco Mundo. Yet those who had risen up against the forces the Espada had raised were wiped out – there was nothing to be gained by a direct confrontation.
Disconcerted and lacking any proper leadership those who rejected the Shinigami Rogues had been easily swayed by Sebastian's impassioned words and his imposing presence; more and more hollows had come to listen to his words and most had chosen to join his ranks – those who decided otherwise were cut down like chaff. Looking out from his palanquin Sebastian saw his faithful kneeling down in neat circles that stretched out around his porters; each of those present owed their fealty to him, most of them wholeheartedly agreed with his beliefs and those that did not surely kept their peace.
As galling as it was to admit, were they to attack the Shinigami of Soul Society or those of Las Noches they would surely be destroyed. How could they overthrow those who had so much power? The answer was of course a simple one; they must become more powerful themselves.
For Hollows there was one sure fire way to increase their powers, by consuming souls – particularly those of individuals with high spiritual power. Over the last one hundred years Sebastian had come to know of one place that time and time again seemed to attract hollows most strongly – a place in the human realm called 'Karakura', surely such a place would be a fitting hunting grounds for his forces. From there they would gain enough power to confront Shinigami patrols and sweep through the Menos forest; then it would only be a short step to Seireitei itself.
Raising one thin long brown arm, Sebastian pointed one of his three thick fingers to a group on the right, they were among the weakest of his soldiers, yet it was for that reason they would go first.
It was nearly ten in the morning (10 AM) when everything went to hell – or so to speak. All around the suburbs of Karakura town small openings began to form as the hollows spewed forth, rising out of Huecco Mundo like the rank smell drifting off a rotting corpse. A dozen Hollows in all, two four foot Crabs one emerald and the other sapphire stood side by side, massive pincers glinting like steel as they bristled with spikes, an ten foot brown Spider covered in scales with great thorny legs as thick as a fully grown man's leg, a two foot long grey Scorpion with a mask that tapered into a eight inch spike facing forwards, three three foot black Chimpanzees, one with very large and completely black eyes and very thick fur, one with four very powerful arms mask like a spiked helmet and the last with a fish's head and tail.
How we will proceed:Okay! In here nominate which of the hollows you wish to fight (or choose one of the five unelected ones – notice I mentioned a dozen in the first wave but have only provided seven descriptions); you can ask someone to RP the hollow for you or you can RP it yourself.
Remember however that the weakest of these will be [IL-W] and the strongest around [IL-S], some of them may have different abilities like being able to encase themselves and an area around them in water, fire balls of energy, dramatically increase their speed and so forth.
Depending on how quickly they are taken care of I will send more hollows for the first round – including a Gillian (or if you are REALLY unlucky an Adjuchas).
You may create a thread anywhere within Karakura town - remember it is mid morning at the moment however, state the hollow you are fighting, how powerful they are as well as who will be controlling it in the thread.
