No, he wouldn't. The fact was, she was just simply to fast. Barrett's initial plan was to move before she did thus hopefully being able to counter her speed with preemptive action before hers. Sadly this was the case, his eyes focuses on her too much and he waited for her movement before performing his which directly contradicted his plan.

When fighting adversaries that outclass you speed, you must move before you do while doing so without them knowing. Anyway, Barrett continued on with his plan. He took a quick dive forward only to find his shoulder blades meet direct contact with Soifon's foot. His body as a whole just dropped to the ground under the force and speed of her kick.

Barrett tried to quickly roll to the right but the skin had done well to cause aches all over his back and sides. That simple roll to gain some distance ended up costing him a few grunts and groans along the way. If Barrett had managed to roll away without interference by Soifon, Barrett would climb to his feet as quick as physically possible and Shunpo quickly to the right of Soifon.

He would quickly throw his Sheathe into the air toward Soifon's face while bending oddly low to the ground, crouched on heavily bending his knees completely he'd take a quick shallow swing for the back of Soifon's knees with the blunt side of his blade. He threw the black sheathe up in front of Soifon's eyes in an attempt to gain her attach and distract her for that split second to take a quick shallow strike at her knees.

Soifon looked up to see that Drake had began to dive forward, as he was doing this her foot came down on his shoulder. She took this chance to quickly plant her other foot onto his other shoulder as she crouched down on them. She pushed hard as she stood up and jumped off his shoulders. This would cause him to crash to the ground and send Soifon high into the air. Soifon twirled in the air as she ended up facing back towards Drake, by this time he would probably be getting back up. Soifon took the sheath of her blade and threw it at him, it traveled straight at him almost like a javelin would, the only difference here, the sheath would only be able to knock him out, or sting really bad on impact.

"Gah!" Barrett called out as he felt a strong force pressing on his upper back. It sent him crashing into the ground, his hands instinctively placing themselves between himself and the ground, "Ah." He hissed to himself as he felt the pain in his wrist from absorbing the impact.

Barrett immediately dashed to the side, pushing off his hands and feet placing himself about two feet from his previous position. As he fled his spot he saw the sheathe of her Zanpaktou touch ground with a powerful thud.

That was a close call.

Not taking anytime to bath in his fortune, Barrett Shunpo'd repositioning himself to an upright position ten meters from where he stood. He'd wait. By this time he'd already focused on Soifon and was now waiting again to figure out what to do next. She was too quick, really that was all she was. If he could just get a hold of her....

Soifon let a big smirk fill her face as she saw the him hit the ground as he stopped him self from falling completely, the sheath was heading straight for him at a pretty quick pace, suddenly he shunpo'd. Soifon realized this and also Shunpo'd about 20 meters in the direction he had been. This caused her to end up behind him, she crossed her arms across her chest as she look at him from behind, he was upright facing towards where she had been at, he seemed intently focused..Unfortuantly it was only an after image of her, as it began to fade she dashed forward Zanopaktou in her hand, once she reached him the after image had faded by now, she brought her zanpaktou blade straight down on his shoulder blade, making sure to use the dull side of the blade for if she did hit him with the attack.
