It was just another night, the sky was clear and the stars where actually visible tonight the crescent moon shone down on the playground below the lamps that circled around the park provided dim light. But at least it was something, suddenly something slithered about inside of the jungle gym, then suddenly a white horned head emerged from the end of the slide it was a hollow. A low class hollow but in sheer size it was quite the sight, the hollow was clearly blind no eyes in sight, a tounge flickered in and out of its mouth as it slithered on out of the slide and began to move about on the sand dragging its limbless body. 'Hmm? Six feet? Nah...maybe Eight?' the words ran through his mind as he analyzed the hollow. Looking through a pair binoculars he could see the hollow clearly as it slithered on out of the sand box and onto the grass, what it was doing Kenji was not so sure. He was crouched up on a tree branch, covered by the many branches that where sticking out from the tree providing him with natural cover and the fact that it was night time everything was leaning in his favor except for one thing.

He had been so focused on this serpent hollow he had failed to notice the chameleon like hollow that was stuck to the wall behind him, it was a fairly small hollow no bigger then a puppy and it was perfectly hidden. The hollow knew if it attacked it would just be killed, so instead it would alert its friend of the where about of the snooping shinigami. Suddenly a loud cry pierced through the atmosphere around the park, Kenji dropped the binoculars the strap not around his neck they fell down crashing onto the ground the lenses cracking on impact. Kenji covered his ears with his hands trying to protect himself from the loud screeching sound, the serpent raised its head knowing what that cry meant the hollow began to flick its tounge searching around for any high reiatsu source and it spotted Kenji. It began to slither across the ground at high speeds, making its way to wards Kenji the silver haired shinigami turned only to see the source of the screech was the small hollow he swatted at it smacking it down to the ground. But then rustling in front of him made his eyes widen with shock as he turned only to see the open mouth of the serpent hollow coming right at his face, those long sharp tipped fangs about to clamp down on him.

Blood splattered onto the tree branch and some leaves as the tree shook and some of the thinner branches fell to the ground a long with some leaves. There was a loud thud as Kenji hit the ground, his eyes closed he was not dead he had managed to cross his arms in front of his face just in time but he had taken a blow. The hollows fangs sank into his forearm as it flailed around in an attempt to tear off the flesh, Kenji struggled to stand up but he couldn't the hollow was about to wrap its body around him and surely kill him. He couldn't draw his zanpaktou the situation was too close quarters, Kenji went for the next best thing Kidou though he sucked at it he still had good enough reiatsu control to pull off close range kidou and it wasn't going to get any closer then this. "God damn hollow!"he would say as he pointed his index finger at it, the snakes body already wrapping around him Kenji simply rushed out the incantation "Hadou number four!...Byaku..RAI!" he yelled out as a blue bolt of reiatsu was fired off from the tip of his finger. It pierced the hollows body causing blood to shoot up into the sky then come back down staining the hollows body, opening its mouth Kenji took the chance to roll out of its weakened grip.

He stumbled to his feet breathing heavily, putting his right hand on his chest he could feel his sleeve had become moist from his own blood, and his hand stained as the blood dripped down from his finger tips the hollow had gotten in a good bite. But there was nothing he could do now but slow the bleeding down, he reached for the already damaged sleeve and pulled at it tearing it off using that very same sleeve he wrapped it around his wound best he could. Then began to tighten it, he opened and closed his hands several times that was a good sign it meant not permanent damage had been caused so it was just a flesh wound. He reached for the hilt of his zanpaktou drawing it forth from its sheath, holding it out at his side he smirked as he stared at the hollow, it was already in a ready position preparing to strike again at the silver haired shinigami. "Don't let this get to you hollow, it was just a lucky shot....I got careless. But believe me when I say this...." he would pause bringing the blade of his zanpaktou up to his shoulder allowing it to rest there. Suddenly a bright blue outline of reiatsu formed around Kenji's body as he let out a slight chuckle, "It wont happen again..." he said completing his sentence, opening his eyes as he stared directly at the hollow locking eyes with his opponent.

The hollow gave no response it merely hissed as it curled its body then struck out at Kenji it was hella long if it was going to reach Kenji at that range, but even so Kenji was going to take it head on. He took a step forward and charged at the hollow swinging his zanpaktou, surprisingly the hollow caught his zanpaktou blade in its mouth holding it firmly. Kenji smirked "Stupid bitch....HAAAA!!!" he would yell out the mighty battle cry as his flaring reiatsu gathered itself at the blade of his zanpaktou, increasing the sharpness of his blade. He stepped forward pushing the zanpaktou with his body, slicing the two fangs off as the sword continued to travel down the hollows mouth slicing the entire body in half as he ran across the ground. Kenji pulled his sword out before reaching the end stumbling to the side, the hollows body fell to the ground in two parts lifeless and dead now, the silver haired shinigami looked over his shoulder down at the hollow. He settled himself, the reiatsu around him fading away, closing his eyes Kenji let out a sigh "That was such a hassle...stupid little hollow" he said refering to the small hollow he had smacked earlier looking into the trees he waved the hollow off. It was too much work to sneak in there and try to find the damn thing, Kenji slipped his zanpaktou back into its sheath and started making his way to wards the playground once there he let himself drop sitting on a bench. Closing his eyes he leaned it back taking in a deep breath, "Man why do things have to be so complicated? Every time I get guard duty something happens and I end up hurt or in serious trouble. Why can't a pretty girl ever just walk by so I can flirt with her and have a good time for once?" he asked himself these questions as he sat there relaxing on the job.
